Tony's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Waveland

My husband and I have came for dinner just about every weekend for the past 2 and a half years, tonight I tried calling for 40 minutes and the line to this minute I'd still busy so and gave up and drove up there to the drive up window. I waited 20 minutes and the waitress told me just a minute. I watched couples come in get waited on and I'm still sitting at the window. Then 3 waitresses had a drama moment and they got on their cell phones and walked off. I waited a few more and gave up and went into knock knock to just order to go. Waited there 30 more minutes, the bartender went and checked on my orders and said 5 more minutes. Took about 10 but finally got it. It would be different if the restuarant had been packed but it wasn't! I go there enough to understand when your busy. I'm a patient customer but when I'm avoided for s cell phone drama conversation, that's uncalled for. Without customers you don't have a job! Tighten up waitresses we are your paychecks and tips. Worse experience I had in a long time. We usually go to tonys every time we're out in waveland camping. But the experience we recieved today was the worse I've seen. After 30 minutes of ordering our food and still not received our appetizers yet. I went up to talk to the watress. She told me that the cooks cook the food as they are ordered. That they had the dinner, the bar and take out orders to prepare. As i looked around the resturant I saw everyone else who was there way before us still not eating yet. Then i went to the bar side thinking might have a big party over there. Nope. 7 people sitting at the bar. Needless to say after being there 45 minutes with still no appetizers we left. Very sad to say we will not be returning. Use to love this place but this experience has turned us a way. And it's not the wait time that really gets to me. It's the fact that the wait staff. Bad food. I ordered a western burger comes with fries and a pickle slice and order of onion rings. 45 mins later not ready wait another 10 and finally ready! Only now they lost my onion rings. Wait some more. The girls were nice and all was fine till I got home. I called because I only had 6 onion rings menu stated mountain high. Implies alot to me. Anyway, she explains she gave me a half order for 4.95 instead. Okay I said, disappointed but moving on. So let's eat right!?! Onion rings and fries were alright but when I take a bit of my burger it was RAW MUSH! So now I'm completely disappointed and hungry. The way I see it is, good food is worth the wait and price. This meal costs 17.02 plus tip. So many more delicious options out there to spend your money on with much less wait. Bad night? Maybe... but I'm not willing to spend the time or money again...
