Haven Diner — Restaurant in Wayne Township

The wait times here were abysmal. It took our group nearly fifteen minutes to be asked about our respective orders, and more than an hour for any of our food to come out, in spite of the fact that all of our orders were very simple. It should not have taken more than half an hour to prepare everything that we ordered. We had places to be, and it was rather frustrating to have to wait such an absurd amount of time for food we could have had in two-fifths of the time. The food itself was served in a bizzare manner. The main dish, or one of the sides, would be given, and then it would take ten minutes or longer to recieve the rest of the food. The food we were already given could've been cold or already consumed by the time that the second part of the meal arrived. The prices were not terribly expensive. The food was acceptable, but our meals most certaintly could have been substantially better for the time we spent waiting. In simpler terms, our food was average at best. The waitresses were accommodating and understanding when they talked to us, and it's quite unfortunate to see that the kind waitstaff had to deal with all the issues coming from the kitchen. Overall, this resturant has potential to be a good place for a cheap and easy meal, but it needs to overcome a lot of issues in order to reach that point. I would not recommend this establishment for anyone who has a busy schedule or who may need to do something soon after eating, and would instead recommend nearby resturants with better organization and better food at comparable or even...

Visited tonight to try since there are new owners and I saw the previous review about fresh ingredients , generous portions and owners culinary backgrounds. Waited a bit of time to be seated even though there were four or five people behind the counter. Took a bit to be noticed and greeted., I was the only one in the diner at the moment. Ordered an unsweetened iced tea and a mushroom Swiss burger. The iced tea was good. The burger, average. A frozen patty. Scant amount of mushrooms.,A bag of chips. If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely horrible. When we entered...no one said have a seat or anything. Afterwards, once we got a table, the lady threw my utensils torwards me. Not sure if she was having a bad day or if she was just racist. I ordered a cheese burger and there was a dead fly on it. A DEAD FLY.
