Came to get some drinks with some colleagues after work. It was a large group of us and the majority were black. Felt like we were discriminated against from the beginning. One employee rudely said she wasn’t our waitress, and our actual waitress took 20 minutes to come over to us. She was very standoffish and basically dropped the drinks off without saying a word and never came back. I paid for the one round and tipped her generously. After that, her entire demeanor changed and she wanted us to stay and keep drinking, when before she acted like we weren’t there. It’s unfortunate that we were profiled from the beginning and I left her a good tip to prove that she shouldn’t judge, even though she definitely didn’t deserve it. Even the manager didn’t apologize when I called the next day to say something about my experience. She just said the server was overwhelmed and that we weren’t the only people in the bar. We were nothing but patient and kind and we would’ve been completely understanding had the waitress just come and introduced herself and said she was busy but would do her best to get to us. It’s unfortunate that this place operates off discrimination and tolerates it too! I will never be...
Read moreLast year I had a large size event, with 45 people in attendance, at the US 12 Bar & Grill in Wayne. The Owner Scott Goci was professional and prompt to deal with right from the day I called him and setup the event.
Often times when planning larger events it takes days on end to plan and you get the run around from the facility or restaurant you are trying to book. Not with Scott and his team at US 12. Scott personally invited me in to show me the room where my event would be held, how the seating would be arranged, and what my menu options were. The day of the event he and his staff were constantly checking in on my party and I to ensure we had everything we needed and that we were being well taken care of.
On top of the great service for our event, US 12 provided outstanding food. Every guest at my party raved about the delicious, house made pizza and wings that were served. Everything was fresh and prepared on the spot for the event, nothing pre-prepared sitting around.
Large or small, if you are looking to have an event in the Western-Wayne County area, casual or business professional, please consider having it with Scott and the amazing staff at US 12 Bar &...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. My friend and I were kicked out of this bar simply for calmly voicing a valid complaint about our food. No yelling, no scene—we gave honest feedback and were met with hostility and removal.
Let’s be clear: we are regulars—3 to 4 times a week. Our usual bartenders, Woody and Kay, have always treated us with kindness and professionalism. We’ve never had a single issue until tonight.
The bartender on duty, Cianna, labeled us as “difficult” the moment we walked in. Her energy was off from the start—dismissive, cold, and clearly biased. We were also the only Black patrons in the bar, and the only ones treated this way.
Things escalated unnecessarily when the manager threatened to call the police on us, even though we remained calm and respectful. He told us directly, “You are not wanted here.” That statement alone says everything.
This wasn’t just bad service—it was a targeted, discriminatory experience. To go from loyal customers to being removed and threatened over a food complaint is beyond unacceptable.
We won’t be back, and we’ll be sure our community knows exactly how this establishment treats Black customers when...
