Edamame Ramen Hibachi And Sushi — Restaurant in Weathersfield Township

Okay so to start let me say I loved most of what I had. But fair warning I wanted to give a 4.6 out of five because all the ramen I order had cooked spinach on it. (We had three bowls all together) The flavor of the spinach overcame my entire chicken bowl and I tasted nothing else. So unless you like cooked spinach, ask for it without. Other than that, the consistency of the noodles was good, and the ingredients seemed to be fresh. The eggs were a perfect soft boil. With the miso bowl, I expected more of a miso flavor (I removed my spinach from this bowl.) but it was almost starchy in flavor, I got a little miso but not what I’m used too. My boyfriend got the spicy pork bowl, he said it was good, but it wasn’t that spicy, and he felt they were playing it safe on the flavors. I orders a few appetizers, I got crab rangoons and spring rolls to play it safe and the bbq pork bao buns. The crab Rangoon was delicious and it wasn’t sweet (which I was thrilled about), the spring rolls had a nice crunch, and were a good size. All both of these are serve with a tai sauce which to me had a little bit of a bite but it wasn’t bad. I preferred soy sauce with my spring rolls. Now for the bao buns, don’t expect your usual bbq sauce. It is quite flavorful though, and all the ingredients worked together. The buns are traditionally dry, so make sure you have your drink handy. For my roll, I got the mason roll, I did not realize it was a deep fried roll, it was still delicious.The presentation was beautiful, but with how they put the crab on top it was super messy to eat. Keep a napkin on you 😂 The one thing I keep hearing is amazing that I have yet to try is the donburi bowls. Personally, I have not tried one, but from what I hear. Do it! The place itself is a little small but they utilized the space they were given very well. It’s bright and welcoming in there. Just be wary it is tight in there. The staff is nice but have patience with them. Don’t just ramble your entire order off, they have to look up each item individually and place it through a computer they carry with them. The food wait itself wasn’t bad either. Just be mindful of the amount of food you order and when, depending on where you sit! Overall I loved this place, and will definitely be going back!! Ordered Togo, me and my wife got the filet habatchi which tasted like regular stale and was very chewy. My son got popcorn shrimp and rice with no vegetables, it was tons of vegetables and was covered in a very spicy sauce so he couldn’t eat his dinner at all. I then gave him my bao bao buns which he also couldn’t eat because they were extremely spicy! I couldn’t even eat them and none of these items on the menu said spicy. Over all we barely got to eat anything but some rice and an egg roll. Super disappointed and irritated that we spent so much money to not eat. We will NOT eat here again! EDIT SINCE THE RESTAURANT LIKES TO CALL CUSTOMERS LIARS: I’d be more than happy to dig the food out of the garbage and bring it back so you can try how spicy it was (three people tried both items and all three found the items extremely spicy but maybe all three of us are liars) putting the vegetables aside was not difficult however eating the spicy sauce , chewing on the leathery steak and not gagging on the rest of the food was to much. Hands down best hibachi. We ordered from 3 different places for one dinner to see where was the best overall for price and food quality/quantity and our findings are - Hana gives very small portion and not very flavored hibachi combo for 22 dollars wouldn't order from them again, mizu ok size for lunch price the best part was the rice there was more onions than anything in the entree very little meat, now EDAMAME was by far the best and we will continue to do business with them. The food was delicious the rice the steak and the chicken cooked to perfection veggies were great and very good portion for the price. I would recommend anyone looking to be satisfied with their purchase to buy from this restaurant! We will continue to spend our money with them anytime we are craving some good hibachi for sure.
