Singh Dhaba — Restaurant in Weathersfield Township

I was excited at first as I didn't realize this place existed. I went to try it out but had a hard time finding it. To make a long story short, it's in the car wash parking lot south of Mr. Fuel.

I noticed a review saying the prices were high, but the menu I saw here didn't look outrageous to me. There were no prices anywhere when I arrived. No real menu either, so I asked for one and was told it changes daily. I asked about a couple items, one being butter chicken, and they had that so I ordered it. A small. He told me it was $16. For a small. And that DIDN'T include rice, which is extra. So my review is based on that conversation rather than the food as there's no way I'm paying almost $20 at a car wash for a small order of butter chicken.

Speaking of the car wash, this seems to be where the food is prepared as I saw one of the guys carrying a pot of something into the truck from the building. Again, no thanks.

If the prices were better this might be a different review but you've got excellent Indian restaurants you can sit down in that are very clean and have delicious food for much less so there you have it. My only 1 star...

This is the second time I ordered from this place and it seems they never fail to disappoint. I guess that’s their motto. And hence I am forced to write a review.

The first time I ordered a biryani. I wish they know what’s a biryani. Not anything made with rice can be called a biryani. It was tasteless,the chicken had a smell that could make you vomit and the bit again was full of green stuff which I am. It sure if it was the onion leaves or some other herbs. It seems I had ordered herbs biryani and not chicken biryani (see pic).

And today my second order; Inspite of waiting an hour the order was not delivered correctly. The chicken tikka masala was delivered without the bowl of rice and salad. Upon calling the restaurant the restaurant owner or manager was least bothered and did not show any signs of regret just casually said a sorry and said next time we shall send you the missing item or else why don’t you come and pick it up. I'm enjoying the chicken biryani I ordered today. I don't eat a lot of Indian food, but I thought was chicken biryani was spiced nicely. Also, the naan tastes better than the naan I've had at other Indian fast food places. They also include a yogurt sauce and spoon. The portion size is easily enough for two meals. I asked for it spicy hot and I'm pleased with the taste. It comes served in a nice to-go tupperware container that's completely filled with food.
