The most ridiculous thing that happened on Saturday, January 2, 2016. Thinking that TOP GOLF was the most fun, organize, and family oriented, we've decided to take our family out. Considering that it was busy, we were quoted a 3 hours wait. Understanding the situation we've decided that while waiting we were going to order some food and drinks. Noticing people that came after us receiving the same food we ordered. We've kindly asked our waitress, Khrystian A ., when we will receive our food and beverages. After 1 ½ hours of waiting for our food we've told the waitress, Khrystian A., that she should let the others know about how long it may take to receive their food, that way she wouldn't get angry customers. After waiting for 3 hours, we decided to check on our lane to see how much time we have left. Another hour was quoted to us and we've decided as a group that we were going to stay and wait. While playing the skee ball we have placed 9 mixed drink for all the guys, considering we had a total of 20+ people in our group, including children under the age of 18. No ID's were checked throughout the whole night. After 10 minutes later, we received our drinks. We've noticed that there were no alcohol in our drinks and told our waitress, Khrystian A. She then told me that she apologized and will take it off our tab. 5 Minutes later, Top Golf had collected all of our unfinished beverage and had the head a security on us. With no fair warnings, the head of security, told us that we had multiple complaints of being too loud and that we had to leave. He then told our waitress to close out our tab. Being confused, we've asked him if this was a family fun place and if having fun with your family and friends was wrong. It seems a little unfair without any warning, waiting for 3 ½ hours and to be kicked out because you were having fun with the family. After receiving the bill, we've asked to speak to a manager. The assistance manager, however, talked to his staff and told us that multiple people in our group was touching their host. Head of security, however, changed his story and said, that our group was not only loud, intoxicated, but was GROPING, on their staff. We however have a family, thinking that they have the wrong people and asked them nicely if they can look into the situation. While speaking to them in a professional manner, with our group being business owners, teachers, and leaders, the General Manager came down and asked what was going on. He then spoke to his staff and said we don't like your people touching our people and that he has no choice but to listen to his staff and ask us to leave the premises. If I was to be that General Managaer I would have looked more into the situation, exchanged my waitress, and compromise with the customer for the time being until fully understanding the situation to KICK CUSTOMERS OUT OF MY PREMISES. To embarrass me and to kick me out for something I may have done, IF, it was me groping on their staff, I would understand. That's fine, but show me some proof. To kick my whole family and friends from out of town out and to create stories? That was uncalled for. I'm sorry, but this place is definitely not a place for my family nor my friends. To wait for that many hours, and get kicked out. Definitely, not worth any type of trouble. If your family and friends are ready to be KICKED OUT, EMBARRASSED, AND BE HUMILIATED IN FRONT OF HUNDRED OF PEOPLE then this place is definitely for you. Expect to wait for LONG HOURS, WITH NO SERVICES if you have decide to go here. Good luck to you and...
Read morePlanned a surprise birthday party for my hubby. I wanted to reserve 2 bays since there's quite a few of us.
Each bay can hold up to a max of 8 people with 6 players. I couldn't reserve 2 bays in advance without getting one of their event packages which is really pricey.
Because of the number of people we have (initially 16) I had no choice but to get a package which charged $90/hour per bay and a minimum of 2 hours each bay. So it's 2x the regular evening weekend rate. Not only that, there had to be a minimum of $300 food and beverage and $60 service charge (20%!) So a total of $750+ for a group of 16 people.
There was NOTHING else included in the package except the bay rentals. The guests had to order and pay for their own food which covered the $300 food and beverage minimum.
We had an assigned "event ambassador" who took care of us and personalized the area a little but by adding my husband's name. The 2 star review is by no means a reflection of his service because he took care of our section. Even though towards the end, the service was slow and some food were not handed to the right people so they ended up looking for their food and some eventually found it on the other bay table. Again, it wasn't the event ambassador's fault - it's just that they have different people bringing the food. I would rate our event ambassador's service at 4 stars because I didn't think he explained how-to's - the guests had to figure it out themselves or those who knew taught the ones who don't.
The staff was friendly when we walked in. The manager took our cake back to where they can store it.
Our guests had an amazing time that I had to extend it for another 30 minutes which turned out to be another $30/half hour, $60 for 2 bays.
I would rate the fun at 5 stars because the guests had fun. We ended up having more than 16 guests but they were nice enough to allow us in those 2 bays we reserved and not required us to get an extra bay (although one of my friends booked 1 as a walk-in, for some reason she was never contacted at the time she booked it - 7:30, but guess it all worked out).
But quite honestly - I could've just chosen to walk in and get 2 bays for their regular price of $45/hour because the place wasn't busy at all when we got there. But I didn't want to take a chance to I had to book a "package" which was REALLY PRICEY and had nothing special included except for the cardboard name in the area.
Plus the "free" lifetime membership which would normally cost you $5. Honestly, not sure what it's for because you'd still have to pay regular rate on the bays and it's just an additional cost.
The food is okay- nothing special.
If you're having a party and it's more than 8 people, choose a day that's not busy and just walk in...
Read moreVery disappointed in this location. Had a group of kids and adults that were enough for 4 bays. Because of the amount we were passed on to Ashley in the "events" department. What started out as a hopeful opportunity quickly became less than. I started off by telling her I didn't want to charge the families $50 per person because some of the kids were 10 or under and wouldn't really utilize the facility as much as adults.
Well, when you have more than 20 people they move you to the "3rd floor lounge" area so you can have some dedicated space where some can use the bays and some can kick back and.. lounge. Bonus is that they REQUIRE you to buy food from a basic appetizer menu for the low price of $24 per person!! And the cherry on the top?? I quote "we charge any one over the age of 5, the $24 for the food and coke/tea". Seriously?? Since when did a 6 year old consume that much food... if that wasn't enough... you have limited time to order from that menu.
So, I asked about just renting the 4 bays by themselves and was joyously told that they could not guarantee we would have bays together since it was a Saturday. In fact, they would likely be on different floors... is what I was told. REALLY?? I want to reserve 4 bays more than a week in advance and you cannot guarantee they will be together?? This is ridiculous...
The bays were going to cost $276 per bay for the 3 hours... and the food was going to cost another $500 and guess what?? That lounge they were going to give us so we could all be together?? Another $50/hr...
Why not just allow us to reserve the bays (would have cost $1100) and just let us buy food or drink on our own? Nope... Guess they didn't want the $1100... Ashley's response? "Well, Top Golf isn't for everyone." How about that? No, Ashley... bad customer service is not for everyone. It would be good to realize that you are not the only game in town... literally...
So, we found an entity that offered more than just a driving range that is forcing you to buy over-priced food... multiple activities, a gathering place and can buy food or drink if you want... for half the cost. If you have a group of 20 or more... pass on TOP GOLF... there are more flexible, entertaining options for a loss less with better...
