This place is disgusting, and the staff & night term manager are extremely ignorant to their customers. Do Not Order anything from here if you happen to like your food fully cooked or if you want your order to be even remotely close to being correct. After a long day of work I decided to order out for my whole family for the opening Steeler game. Most of our order was not even close to being edible. I understand that not all orders are going to come out correctly or perfect, but my biggest question is How in the World do you forget the SHRIMP? In a Shrimp basket? 🍤. As you can guess the only person who ordered Shrimp was myself (the guy who paid for Everybody's meal). Upon arriving home to eat we noticed that my box was empty and only had sides and nasty hush puppies in my Shrimp basket box. Even though we live 15 minutes away from the location and it was kick off time, I decided to at least go back and get the Shrimp I had paid, being that it was the most expensive item we had purchased. I brought my empty box that just had sides with me to prove I wasn't trying to scam anyone. I went in and honestly was being very civil and nice about it because I wanted to just get the Shrimp and get back to my family to watch the game. The nasty manager came out and basically treated me like it was my fault that they forgot my Shrimp. Then she refused to give me the Shrimp I had already paid for and also refused to give me a refund. So I basically paid $14 for a Long John silvers empty box. The customer service response by the night manager was the worst I have ever experienced or witnessed anywhere and I have been on both sides of the counter in my lifetime, I fully understand mistakes happen. But it is on the manager to handle these situations so that rhe paying customer feels satisfied with the resolution....this is how you keep customers coming back to spend money at your business. But how do you forget Shrimp 🍤 in a Shrimp basket? It's like forgetting the burger and just serving the buns, it's like forgetting the Steak in a steak dinner....I mean if you are going to forget anything let it be the gross hush puppies(dog food) that Nobody eats. But the real issue is the manager. I paid for shrimp and I didn't get any Shrimp, I drove all the way back and was denied the Shrimp I had already paid for and denied a refund as well...and I was being understanding and nice about the situation. This manager needs to be fired, she is a nasty person and is bad for your business. I will order from Long John Silvers again in the future but Never ever again from the downtown Weirton location. Filthy, grime restaurant and the manager is a nasty person. This place is a Big NO GO! SPEND YOUR MONEY WISELY ELSEWHERE! The only option I had was to give a 1 star review because there wasn't a -5 star review option. Steer Clear of this establishment they will find a way to mess up cocktail shrimp...
Read moreI don't understand everyone bashing this place. The old place had zero customers. They built a brand new facility, and it's packed to the gills. The drive thru is out into the road. So, now they're not fast enough for you? Get real people. I'm standing in their lobby watching 20 people busting their asses to get food out and order correct. Will some be wrong? Absolutely. It happens. Grow up Ohio Valley. This ain't Burger King. You can't have it your way! So, got home with my sacks of goodness. My order was perfect and my food was perfect. Best I've had in awhile. One piece of advice. You could tell who the managers were by their shirts. One manager told the counter gal to not take anymore orders until they got caught up. About 20 minutes later, another manager sternly asked her, "why would you stand there and not take any orders". Four of us, all at the same time said, "because thats what she was told to do". She angrily turned around and walked away. How about a "sorry"? Commutation and talking to people properly, goes a long way. Lastly, there was a black gal at the front of the store, running point. She was making sure things went where they needed to go. I watched her for 20 minutes. She is a superstar. Pay her well please!
PS - I saw a complaint because there were no "vegetarian options"......how do you stop yourselves from calling that person and saying....."THIS IS A FISH AND CHICKEN JOINT"!!!! Yall...
Read moreAs an after thought I ask the man working the drive thru if they cook the chicken in the same oil as the fish. My husband has a severe chicken allergy, it sends him into anaphylactic shock and could quickly kill him. The man told me that chicken had it's own dedicated oil that nothing else is cooked in. He said the same is true of the fish and that the hush puppies and french fries had their own oil for cooking them as well. My husband was thrilled. A week later we were deciding what to eat for lunch and we decided on LJ. For some reason I told hubby to go inside to order and ask again if the fish, fries, or hush puppies are cooked in the same oil as the chicken. This time he was told that the chicken and fish and fries and hush puppies were all cooked in the same oil. What if we had trusted the first man at the drive thru!!!! I'm still not sure if the fish is safe for...
