So I had really high hopes for here given all the stellar reviews I read, as someone who is a chef and an owner of my own food truck I understand everyone has off nights. I have to say our waiter was less then stellar, when we asked him which entree was better his response was that they were ok, which I felt was not a positive promotion of your food, he then also stated he didn't do carbs... I also asked if the poke bowl was spicy and the response was, if you don't get the Thai sauce it isn't spicy, well I could not eat it due to it being spicy. My husband ordered the Hawaiian pizza, when it came out there was no pizza sauce on it at all. When we asked for pizza sauce since there was none on it the waiters response was the Hawaiian doesn't have sauce on it, mind you both my husband and I have our culinary degrees so know that pizza sauce does come on that pizza. There was a very nice lady who offered to make us a new pizza after we asked for sauce to go and the waiter argued saying he would have to charge us which the woman told him not to. We politely declined since we still had a 3 hour drive home but truly appreciate the gesture. The Shepards pie was stellar as was my French Onion soup. Like I stated before it is off season and everyone has off days. I hope this helps the restaurant and we wish you all the success going into the New England busy season with all of the Covid...
Read moreSadly this could be a great bar, but the staff was very rude to us. We called ahead to tell them a large group of about 15 cousins were coming for a 40th birthday.
When we arrived (4pm Friday), we went to the outdoor firepit area which was empty. We were told to please go and order at the bar individually as they were short staffed, a completely reasonable request. We started to do that, for the 2nd round of drinks we were told they could not handle such a large group ordering drinks at the bar and would no longer serve us.
This was when there was nobody sitting at the bar, we were ordering beers (not difficult drinks) and the bartender was beginning to pour the 2 drinks ordered. We were being respectful and are mature adults, having a good time and just having a conversation. The staff was rude and acted angry that we showed up with 15 people despite calling ahead, thankfully one of the managers was more apologetic and said they were understaffed.
We would have no problem staying and waiting longer for drinks if needed, but we were treated with a lack of respect as though we were causing trouble. We probably would have stayed maximum another 30-45 minutes, but now sadly CShore has a bad reputation amongst our family.
If you have more that 4 people, it seems you should avoid, too bad because it's an awesome looking bar...
Read moreI currently live in Falmouth and CShore came highly recommended. I am so glad we took the drive to Wellfleet!
The whole experience, from beginning to end, was top notch. Our party sat in the tent and our server was attentive, personable, and clearly very familiar with the menu. He checked in with us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed and was able to provide insight into how the food is prepared.
We tried multiple appetizers, all of which were fresh and quite delicious. Similarly, our entrees were phenomenal. Our only regret was not ordering dessert- If the appetizers and entrees are any indicator, the dessert must be to die for!
I would be remiss if I did not mention the work the team at CShore has done to create a truly beautiful space. As previously mentioned, we sat in the tent (right near the perfectly placed and sized fire pit), but I took the liberty of walking around and touring the indoor space and upper deck area. The tables are well-spaced out, the lighting was perfect, and all I saw were smiling faces engrossed in conversation between bites.
I will absolutely be back and encourage anyone reading this to make sure to add it to their "list". Overall a truly...
