I grew up on DiCarlo's Original Pizza located in Wellsburg, WV, so I am quite familiar with the taste and quality associated with DiCarlo's. From their website they provide the following information:
For nearly 60 years, DiCarlo's very unique combination of hot crust - cold cheese has been successfully satisfying their devoted customers.Only DiCarlo's initially flash-bakes its crust and sauce in a special brick oven, and when the steaming crust emerges, it is adorned with cold creamy provolone cheese, making the taste indescribable!
Orginal DiCarlo's Pizza uses NO frozen products. Fresh dough mixed daily in all of our stores. Our very own signature sauce made from superior-tasting, fresh tomatoes and combined with our unique spice mixture. We pride ourselves in using only the finest quality 100% provolone cheese, never pre-shredded. Only 100% meats - no fillers. We use products free of MSG.
I can assure you that this pizza is quality and delicious. It is pizza served either by the slice at 90 cents per slice, or you can opt for a boxed square which usually will run you around 13.99 for a box of 16 slices. You can only order takeout at this location. Their pizza is good enough to take home and enjoy!
If you get it "DiCarlo's style", it is with cold cheese on top. I prefer it this way, but to each their own. This is their signature style and it really adds to the flavor. They will happily melt the cheese for those of you that request it that way. I give it 2 thumbs way up!...
Read moreI've always loved their pizza, but it's even better if you heat it up in your air fryer for a few minutes. After i buy DiCarlos pizza (which i always order with mushrooms in addition to the standard pepperoni), the first thing i do upon walking into my house is i place several pieces of the pizza into my air fryer basket and i run it at 400F degrees for 3 or 4 minutes. DiCarlos pizza always gets soggy inside the cardboard box during transit. This happens every time. There are no exceptions. Most people don't care because it tastes so good anyhow. They just happily eat it in it's usual soggy condition. But taking a few minutes to make it extra hot and even crispy really does elevate it to another level. I just do this with a regular basket;-style air fryer, so i can never fit more than 4 or 5 pieces in the bottom of the basket at one time. I imagine a big air fryer oven, toaster oven or regular oven would do fine for elevating DiCarlos, too. This also works great for leftover pizza that was cold induce the refrigerator. The air fryer makes your cold pizza come...
Read moreI'm a truck driver passing through town for the night, got hungry and ordered a pizza. I call this place and the person answers with an abrasive attitude, but I still gave him the benefit of the doubt and ordered anyways. I made my order and asked for a extra pepperoni, extra cheese and mushrooms. I gave him the address where I am and told him an a truck driver here for the night. He said ok I got u covered my friend, which at that time he had the perfect opportunity to tell me we don't cook our toppings on our pizza unless you tell me too. So i got this disgusting pizza and didn't realize the toppings wasn't cooked until the delivery guy had left, which he was very nice. I called them back and asked them about it, the same abrasive guy answered, and he tells me. Hey man u have to ask us to cook ur toppings on ur pizza, because how would we know u want ur complete pizza cooked. Really.... (The answer to that is explain when the customer's call in there order to u guys in the...
