I have to say as a server this was my absolute worst experience at a restaurant. I was extremely excited to try something new on my way to the airport. It took 20 minutes before receiving a greeting, by which I acquired by approaching the bartender/server myself. My friend did not enjoy the drink she received and we were very respectful explaining. We immediately ordered an appetizer with our drinks which we never received within an hour of being at our table. While watching another table who arrived at least 30 minutes after we ordered receive their full meal. The bartender prioritized regulars, rightfully so, however I made it clear I was in a rush since I had a flight to catch. Overheard her talking bad about us to bar customers while remaking the drink. Also seemed intoxicated and watched her sip a drink while working. When finally getting to order our meals, while still not having our appetizer about an hour into being at our table, she comes back 10 minutes later explaining that our tickets did not go through to the kitchen and retook our order. While I respectfully asked where the appetizer was and how long it’s going to take since I have to catch a flight, yet again explaining. She said it would only be 5 minutes for the appetizer. Another 10 minutes go by, and finally as a server I realized she had not even put our food in at all. When I asked to pay for our drinks and confronted her that I knew exactly what was going on she said “you have no tab you are good to leave”. Extremely disappointed, starving, and now extremely late to my flight in the hopes that she wasn’t lying to us. When clearly she was. I don’t think age discrimination is fair, and that’s exactly what happened. Do not recommend unless you are over 40...
Read moreCame here on Sunday, April 28 in the late afternoon to play pool and kill time before going to get some eats after 9 PM at 54th St Grill. We came with our 12-year-old and so maybe that made the waitresses not wanna wait on us. We were playing pool for at least 45 minutes and neither women working the place had the decency to come over to us to ask if we wanted anything. We watched one waitress go to another table in the pool area and serve them and look our way and totally ignore us. No acknowledgment whatsoever, but we observed her going out to smoke with a friend multiple times throughout the time we were here. The establishment was not busy at all during this time. My husband said he didn’t even want to spend any money here since we were treated this way, but I ended up going to the bar and ordering some drinks and a kids meal. When I approached the bar, I also was not welcomed in a kind manner. The kids meal which was toasted ravioli and mashed potatoes came out after 30 minutes. I asked for another beer and she brought it. Then later she brought the bill. I would suggest these women get different jobs that they actually enjoy rather than making patrons of an establishment feel unwelcome. We would’ve spent $75 or more here this afternoon but instead I spent 23. I’m also only tipping 10%. I typically tip 30 to 40% for average service bc I used to work in food service. Anyone working in service knows that your tip depends on the service you provide. I’m not sure how these ladies expect to...
Read moreDis place is always dope! Great times with great friends. Went there tonight. Was happy to see that they have RedBridge beer. Which is great for me because I try to eat/drink gluten free. I got it in their taproom in the basement. Not sure if they have it in the main bar section. They have pool, and darts. The bartenders have a good knowledge on shots on what and how to make them. They allow smoking at this establishment. Not sure if I should say that or not. I smoked a cigar, low key like, and they didn't seem to mind. Plenty of women there ready to make poor life choices for you single guys out there looking to pick you up your next baby momma.
At closing time, there was a scuffle between two gentlemen (I use that term loosely). Much shouting with no real fighting. A female waitress suplex body slammed some dude when he wouldn't leave, probably killed him I think they hid his body behind the bar or something before forcing everyone out. (I made all of that up, but if I grant her some street cred, it is totally worth it to spread such rumors around.) Great entertainment either way. It went outside where two "friends" began shouting and pushing each other. The police showed up. Props to the Wentzville PD,. They were courteous and respectful in their directions. Would definitely recommend coming here. Will come here again. ...
