Don Pedro Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Weslaco

We went at lunchtime so there wasn't that many people in there to add to the atmosphere. It's like, I prefer having a lot of people in a restaurant. The noise, the laughter, the music... that's what makes a good atmosphere. When it's too quiet, I wonder if it's because the food is not that great. But yes everybody, the food is delicious. And our waitress was awesome. Not only pretty, but also funny and dare I say it? Bubbly! Yeah, she made us laugh. Sorry I don't remember her name, otherwise I mention it on here. So you could tip her good. She made our visit one we still talk about....

Food is delicious. We got the mar y tierra molcajate, the portion was plenty for two people. Price was not bad for the amount of food we got. It was empty when we went, around 5:30 on a Friday, but even if it had been packed tables are far apart and restaurant has plenty of space. There is a bar, did not get to buy any drinks this time but will be returning again, think we found a hidden gem, definitely...

This was my first visit. I got a botana mixed for 3. It tasted good but very little meat provided it seemed to have more cheese. Other places the botana for 2 has more meat than don Pedro's botana for 3. I did not care for their chips. Chips were narrow and long and not good for dipping sauce verses the typical triangular chips everyone...
