taqueria del primo — Restaurant in Weslaco

Came to this taco place to give it a try with the wife. Upon arrival we took a seat and we were given our menus. We asked the waitress for mixed tacos tripa/bisteck, she replied that they had no tripa at y he moment. "Big ouch" how can you not have tripa tacos on a Friday but o well. We the ordered the bisteck combo that comes with ranchero beans, baked potato, and a can soda. After a couple of minutes the beans, sodas and beaked potato came. 10 minutes later my order comes in but not my wifes. We waited patiently for nearly 25 minutes and no order. We tried to get the waitress attention but was tok busy in the back area. Minutes later we get up and approached the waitress and told her that my wifes order never arrived. She apologized and I immediately just asked her to hand over our bill and to exclude my wifes order since she did not get it. Food was ok since i got to try all of my order. The tacos could use a little more season and were a little stingy with the beef compares to other taco places weve been in the area. The beans were good and so was the baked potatoe. Service not that well since there were hardly any...

I just moved to the area and my mother and I came to eat tacos from here. The service was a 0. Workers weren’t friendly always looking mad. Eventually we sat down and ordered. As my mom continued to eat her food she found a fly in her beans. which gave us asco our gut not allowing us to continue to eat the food they gave us. Therefore we proceeded to tell one of the waiters about the fly we found. And as we looked around they continued to serve everyone else the beans. Getting up to leave and to pay. My mother asked about the beans we were willing to pay for the food we had ordered of course but also expected a discount being the bareminum. The lady then proceeded to tell us “ ay moscas donde quiera” meaning (flies are everywhere). Which definitely was rude to tell someone. The worms, eggs and sickness that flies can pass around that statement was unbelievable. We ended up paying and left. As we proceeded to leave we looked towards the back it was definitely dirty. If I could rank this place it would be in the negatives. And I would not recommend anyone...

I don’t often come here, it’s about once every two months, but this is the last time by far. The last time I’ve came I’ve had so much fat in my meat and it’s not worth the price. I decided to get the flour tortillas, which wasn’t even cooked and so chewy! The picture of the flour tacos are so deceiving on the menu, compared to what you get in person! There was hardly any cilantro, my meat tasted old and looked white like it had been sitting out for a while! Saw the cook poking his nose in the back before I walked into the restaurant, and the beans had no flavor and was all grease!...
