Krisp — Restaurant in Weslaco

A quaint, contemporary little space. Only serve beer and wine which was just fine. We asked for an old-fashioned but got a beer which tasted much like it-wonderful! We ordered the chartucerie board which came with Brie, Parmesan, Munster, and cheddar cheese, grapes, pineapple, strawberry, cashews, almonds, prosciutto, and salami. The bread and crackers came when we were more than halfway done with the board. We also ordered the stuffed mushrooms and as an appetizer and escargot as the meal. Each one was served exactly the same. The mushrooms were not breaded but stuffed with Italian sausage and topped with mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and basil. The escargot was served in mushrooms. They were not breaded and also topped same as the stuffed mushrooms. Entrees are served with choice of soup, salad, or steamed veggies. I received none of the above. I didn’t complain simply because I was stuffed! We were served only tiny forks (for the escargot) and asked for knives to use to cut the mushrooms and cheeses. I think it would have been nice to have some dinnerware. So, two appetizers, one entree, and two drinks...

Terrible experience in this place. Our server was sort of rude, not at all welcoming, she messed up our drink order and was super dismissive about it. The music outside was obscenely loud, couldn’t hear anyone that was with me, had to be screaming throughout the night. Our appetizer took 1 hour to get to our table, to be honest the plate had potential but was lacking in flavor. My main plate (which was absolutely disgusting, the pasta tasted like dirty water, the Alfredo sauce was thick and tasted old and the chicken was SO DRY I had a hard time swallowing it) took another hour to come to us which is completely unacceptable.
