Oak Texas Bar & Grill - Weslaco — Restaurant in Weslaco

I been going to Oak for a while now but today was one of the worst nights there, I was able to realize that they do be over charging and their bartenders are so disrespectful. Bartender came to look for my friend and I at the restroom & it was so humiliating and embarrassing because we had just gotten out the stall & it made it seem like we weren’t trying to pay our tab or sum. She could’ve easily waited for us at our table because we had other people waiting for us there & it was barely about 1:40a.m. My friend and I just got a water and a strawberry Margarita and it was a total of $16.88, which a margarita is about $10 and gratuity is 20% automatically when it’s more than 6 people (which our table did have 6 ppl) at the table, equals to about $12 and sum. I talked to the manager DIEGO but he wasn’t able to do anything about it. It was already late and I didnt want to keep arguing about the $4 extra. BUT It is upsetting because that is taking advantage of people and it makes you wonder how many people they do this to. First time going, we were six in our group we signed up for a table the host told us we can wait in the bar, we were waiting and decided to order food at the bar, three of our group went to the restroom as they were in the restroom their food came out, so we were holding chairs for them, around 10:30 comes a very Rude guy asking with attitude for the chairs, we told him the chairs were taken and that they were in the restroom, he then took his jacket off wanting to fight us, and as we got up from our chairs he called security to get us out, my friends had to take their food to go, we asked the bartender who the guy was and he said he was the Manager (unbelievable), I still can't believe how a person like that can be Manager to a very nice place, I did some research and found that this guy has done it before with other people, Hector is the name of...

I showed up for brunch and they took forever to attend to us and that's because it was not busy. I ordered the pozole and it was tasty. I really enjoyed it. I also got an avocado toast with a side of bacon and my bacon was Cole and limp not hot and crispy. My avocado toast wasn't with the 13 bucks that I paid for it. my eggs were supposed to be over easy and when I got my plate it was over cooked and cold. My wife got the cowboy plate and she said that she enjoyed it very much. the potatoes had lots of flavor. the waffle that she ordered was also good. over all we had a great time I will definitely give this place another chance.
