I ordered from West Boylston Pizza on Saturday night for a delivery. While placing my order, the employee taking my order seemed confused by what I wanted. I ordered 3 items: a chicken Cesar salad with Cesar dressing, a chicken salad sandwich on a wrap with lettuce, onions, mayo, and provolone cheese, and an order of french fries. I explained what I wanted in detail and attributed the employee's confusion to it being a busy Saturday night for them. About 15 minutes after I initially placed my order, I received a call from the employee asking me to re-explain what I had ordered. Again, I did not think too much into this.
When I received my food, every item was wrong, except for the french fries. The chicken Cesar salad had no chicken. The wrap that was delivered was a chicken Cesar wrap with no dressing. And I also received a chicken salad garden salad with no dressing. Not only was the order completely wrong, but I had also paid for an extra item which I did not order.
I called the store to try to get the situation taken care of. The employee I spoke to was extremely apologetic and understanding, but said he could not do anything about it because he was not the owner, which makes perfect sense. He said that I should call back during the week when the owners are there. I called back today (Monday) to see if I could be refunded, at least for the extra salad that I did not order in the first place.
I recently got off the phone with a different employee who informed me that they could not refund me, because I had paid cash for the order. I paid cash because I work for another local business and cash is usually preferred with smaller businesses, so they don't have to pay credit card transaction fees. The employee said the best they can do is offer me store credit but no type of refund, even for the extra food that I did not want nor did I eat. Normally, a store credit would not be the worst thing, but when a rather simple order is messed up so badly, the last thing I want to do is to try this particular pizza shop again especially when the only thing that was good about my order was the french fries.
The one positive thing that I can say about West Boylston Pizza is that every employee I spoke to was polite, apologetic, and understanding. From what they told me, I never spoke to any actual owner. Perhaps if an owner was present and available at the store, some of this confusion and the mistakes could have been properly fixed. I will use my store credit but after that, I will never order from West Boylston...
Read moreI have ordered many times and more times than not my orders have been delivered wrong had to call back and try to get them to fix the wrong order. Every time we have called to get the orders fixed we have been told that it was either us ordering wrong or not listing to the staff repeating the order back to us and telling us that they are busy and customers make mistakes ordering I only make 2 orders depending on if it is just my husband and I or our whole family. There are very few places that deliver to our house so we keep trying with them tonight was the last straw they messed up our order and were argumentative on the phone blamed us than blamed they were busy never trying to fix the issue I offered as it was late to bring the wrong pizza back to be fixed or replaced but could not bring it back till tomorrow as my husband just got home from work and I am putting my kids to bed he stated he was the owner and his employees would not have made a mistake like that witch we have heard many times and he would call the driver who took the order and have him call me back but it again was my fault after arguing for 10 mins or so he hung up on me. I called back he stated he was busy and many I should order somewhere else if we are so in happy I will make sure to order somewhere else just is very upsetting as we paid and tipped well every time we have ordered and mabey one out of three times of ordering things are delivered correct but that is not a staff issue for them that is a customer issue when we only have two orders...
Read moreThis used to be the best pizza in the area, hands down. But they recently changed owners and the pizza hasn't been made the same way since. It now has puffy, bready, tasteless crust, instead of kind of thin and perfectly crispy with a little cheese sprinkled on the crust. There is way too much sauce, not nearly enough cheese. The last owners made the perfect pizza, very cheesy and slightly toasted in spots. This stuff is gross. We stopped ordering because we no longer liked anything we were eating. It breaks our hearts because we loved the old format so much, but we had to accept that it's no longer the same place and we're not into what it is now. If the new owners inherited the old recipes with the sale, I would highly suggest they go back...
