Scenic spot you’ll see a lot of in foliage season. The church has a small pullover at the side of the road with a small grounds and access to the church. Inside the church is mostly empty. There are a few hiking trails to be found behind the church up against the water.
The lake here is a reservoir/drinking water so there’s no swimming, and they don’t want you walking on the ice cone winter- sometimes there’s a ranger hanging at the gate or up around the corner.

Read moreI went to this place a few years ago and I constantly think about going back. It's a photographer paradise because if you go during the week there is no one there! And a tip to those from the west coast this place is not well marked you just pull of into a tiny little driveway and walk through an opening in the fence not anything marked as private property but it kind of feels like it. Super clean, which is refreshing. A great place for some fun photos and a picnic....

But on the right side, there was a trail with amazing views. The walk to the bridge was pleasant. Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for scenic views by the water. They have portable latrines if you have to use the bathroom as well. No dogs are allowed. Plenty of parking were available...
