Traveling through Iowa and was staying at Little Bear campground one exit away. I was hungry and this was the closest restaurant. I was a little worried about “Mexican” food in Iowa, but was pleasantly surprised! We had frozen margaritas and a sampler quesadilla. Margaritas were very refreshing with ample amount of alcohol. Quesadillas were well seasoned and served with fresh shredded lettuce, guacamole, pico, and sour cream. Restaurant was almost full at 5pm. Restaurant was attached to a Days Inn. Restaurant was very clean and I was impressed the way management can show that even though we are still finding restaurants after covid with horrible service due to staffing shortages, they can stand out. I did not use restroom so I cant rate those. Unbelievable quick service with a genuine smile. Staff was very efficient, food served hot, and bill arrived at appropriate time. I would definitely recommend this “Mexican” eatery when traveling...
Read moreIt’s was pretty difficult for me to find a Mexican restaurant that I actually liked when I moved to Iowa , one that was actually real , authentic Mexican food!! Growing up in Southern California spoiled me with real authentic Mexican food so when I discovered this small, very clean restaurant with a really great staff, I was very stoked !! My husband and I have it at least once a week. The chips & salsa they start you off with is addicting. The Carne Asada tacos are my ultimate favorite!! There’s 3 in an order with beans and rice on the side. Everything is cooked exactly the way I like it, with large portions!! I load em up with their pico de gallo and it’s just perfect..absolutely perfect! If your a fan of authentic Mexican food you should most definitely check Mexico Lindo Grill & Cantina out.. you’ll be super...
Read moreFood was decent. Very greasy over all. Chips were burnt. Cheese dip tasted like it was watered down with cream of mushroom soup. Menu is super expensive. $3.25 for a fountain drink. I got the special (3 tacos) that was $15.25. Our waiter was decent and kind, but he was more interested in the soccer match on TV (TBH I was too). I had to go to the register to check out without first getting a ticket. I had to ask for a ticket to make sure I was paying for what I ordered. I did request some rice and beans to go, but our waiter had forgotten. Thankfully it was not on our ticket/receipt. Over all not a terrible local place. It is just too expensive and slow...
