Went in with my daughter. Waitress came over and asked for drink order and also asked if we where ready to order said gonna need a few mins. We both got a soda within a min of being asked thought that was great. Then asked if we where ready to order again. Said need a min. We both where looking at menu and debating about an appetizer. My daughter ordered a cup of clam chowder and a chicken pasta dish. I also asked for a cup of clam chowder and a chicken parm sub with very little sauce. Well my daughter got her chowder mine was missed. Her chicken pasta dish was plain not alot of flavor and my chicken parm was overcooked. The chicken was very dry and cheese couldn't even notice. Seemed like they put in sub roll and then in oven forgot and overcooked. Got bill they did not charge for the chowder I asked for so I was glad paid and left. Was told that there chicken parm was extremely good and I was not impressed. I think that the waitress was coming up to end of her shift as again asked about ordering very quickly. Did not hear if there where any specials. Felt like we rushed and was not that busy. Did not feel like talking to manager about dissatisfaction as my 16 year old daughter was taking me out for my birthday. My daughter told her it was my birthday and instead of saying happy birthday was informed not even asking that they don't have free meals for people on there birthday but if I sign up for a member card ì might get a special and because it was my birthday I should put in a different date for a birthday special. I did and said why not put my daughters name and made up her bday as well. Funny part is I have never got an email for anything...
Read moreI didn't particularly enjoy my time at Boston Tavern at all. I came here with my fiancé and as we entered one of the greeters said "Are you kidding me?" Out loud to the greeter next to her. She overlooked us and the other greeter, after a short time of us standing there, asked if we were going to be seated for two. We were advised there was a 40 minute wait. We chose to wait the 40 minutes. Things seemed to be fine until we heard the greeters saying our number was next, but may have realized we had that number and chose to let other couples (parties of 2) be seated before us, when they clearly entered the restaurant 15-20 minutes after us. I remained positive and patient and watched them do it 3 times. Id like to remind you that we had already previously heard them say we were next. Nonetheless, they skipped our number, and began calling numbers that were at least 3 places after ours. After I approached the greeters, we were seated shortly thereafter. In total, we waited for one hour. It didnt get better when we were seated. The waitress was very cold, she took our orders for drinks, eventually an appetizer and NEVER CAME BACK TO TAKE OUR ORDER FOR ENTREES. Not once during the 45 mins we waited, did she take orders for our entrees. She laughed and spoke with all of the other guests at tables she waited on next to ours. She passed our table many times and we had to flag her down to get her attention- at this point we just asked for our check. Our money is just as good as anyone else's and I refuse to use my momey where it is not welcome. The food was average and the drinks were average. Not worth your time or money, not a friendly or...
Read moreI came into the Bridgewater location with my husband and my daughter who was home from college visiting. We came in to have food and watch the patriots game. The waitress took our drink order and we put in an appetizer order. The waitress came back and asked us if we wanted to place our lunch orders, we said not yet. I our appetizers came and she came over again and asked if we wanted to place our lunch order. We again said not yet. Once again she came over a third time and asked again if we wanted to place our orders. I’m looking at my husband basically saying what is the rush. I said let’s just order and we did. The waitress was so aggressive and intimidating that I thought I was the student and she was the teacher. I ordered a Rueben and I got pastrami, I ate half the sandwich and didn’t say anything. We just wanted to get out of there. The waitress asked if I wanted to wrap my leftovers and I said no, she could easily see that I didn’t eat the meal and she never asked me if it was ok. My family was so stressed dealing with this waitress, my daughter was begging me not to say anything to the waitress and I regret that and that’s why I writing this. When people come to your restaurant, they want to relax and enjoy, have good service and food. I will never come back to your restaurant. Maybe you should have the waitresses especially the one who waited on us have some hospitality training. If she doesn’t like her job she should quit.
