Joe Willies Seafood WestTown — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

This was my second time here. My first time i ate in. It was a little slow but the food and service were pretty good. This time i carried out. There was rude customer service over the phone although the manager was apologetic. When i got there i waited over 30 minutes for my food even though it was ordered 20 minutes prior to me getting there. I observed the cashier being rude again. The back staff although nice was unorganized which i think accounted for the long wait. The seem to keep forgetting orders. I clearly wasnt the only customer waiting for a while which was confusing because food was constantly coming up. There was also a concern that none of the kitchen staff wore gloves. I saw cooks wipe their brow or head several times and it didnt look like they washed their hands but because of the counter i couldnt be sure. The only reason i gave 3 stars is because the food was still ok. It wasn't as good as my first experience. But it was still good. Also i didnt qualify for the special price by ordering online. I paid 22.99 for a crab and shrimp combo when is was priced at 15.99 in store. You cant order over the phone is what I was told. Only online or instore. This place is horrible, placed an online order and instead of receiving a call from the establishment (which would be good customer service) I receive a call from the delivery person (door dash) that my order will take another hour after waiting an hour(placed the order at 6:18pm received the call at 7:10pm) decided to wait it out trying to support a black owned business only to receive a message at 8pm that they (Joe Willies) cancelled the order I'll never spend another dime with this place... If you do not have the employee capacity to take online orders then take your business off of the online apps and stop offering service that you do not give... The first time I tried this place I was instantly hooked. The food was so flavorful and amazing, then I ordered again through DoorDash and they ran out of the crawfish I usually order. Instead of them updating on DoorDash that the crawfish was out of stock, they continued to allow people to order it and take their money. Door dash was refusing to give me my money back for food that wasn’t in stock. How is that my fault. Then when you call this restaurant they never answer the phone. You go up there to talk to the cashier and he has an attitude like a female with no respect or care for the situation at all.
