J J Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

The guy bringing the food to the cook didnt have on a mask, the cook didnt have on a mask.... However, the cashier did have on a mask, so good news the money wont get covid. I called and ordered ahead and they didnt bother to tell me their credit card machine was down so I had to use their atm for a 3 dollar fee. The guy that took my order wasnt rude but wasnt friendly either. The chicken looked diseased almost. I ended up throwing the entire 10 PC out because of how the chicken looked plus I couldn't shake the fact that nobody had on a mask as they prepared our food. They ask us to wear a mask to keep them safe but dont give us the same courtesy. So I basically threw 20. bucks down the drain. Also, the place looks nothing like it does in the pics it's super uninviting and kinda gross. As I was leaving a guy who I thought was security or something asked me for my change. So yes they let people sit inside and watch you get your change so they can beg you for it. I have nothing good to say about this place. Eat at home and avoid this place like covid because you'll probably catch it eating...

There use to be a time when JJs sold thee best fish. Those days are LONG gone. This place served me up a piping hot heaping of disgusting SWAI Catfish. At least it was hot one might say; Tell me what am I to do with hot garbage?!

Who approved this swai fish swap?! Doesn't anyone remember what real Catfish taste like?! I like Catfish. Kanye likes Catfish. This is Chicago and I say we boycott until these posers bring back real Catfish!

One bite and Yuck! No! How did I end up here? I drove so far just to realize the reviews are terribly misleading.

Allow me to add that I had to open the windows and spray my car after tossing the bag (fish included)out from the fishy smell. A big No No! My vehicle and my person should not smell like fish.

I ordered a 21 piece of cat fish for a party. When I got to the place. The guy at the window did not smile. Does not greet me. Has an attitude. The pan of fish costs 73.00. I paid for it because I purchased this before for my mom's birthday party last year and the food was amazing and fresh. I then ordered myself and my son food for that day. He wanted a 10 pc legs and thighs with lemon pepper. I ordered a 6pc wings no lemon pepper. I get our food and head home just to be disappointed. They did the complete opposite of what we said and also forgot his cheese fries. I called to tell them how disappointed I was with my food. I get all attitude over the phone. Mind y'all I spent over 100.00 in this place that same day. The service sucks. The food fell off bad. They're not worth going to now days ....
