Luigi's Pizza — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

I had been eating from there for 40+ years but NEVER again. The past year I've seen a steady decline in customer service from the owner. Today I ordered a meal that took 3 hours to get to me and I literally live right around the corner. The only reason I didn't just walk over there was because I was coming off from working a double shift and was going right back to work another double shift and I just wanted to relax and have a meal. I placed the order, about 25 minutes later I get a phone call from them letting me know they didn't have part of the order and ask what else I wanted. I told them what I wanted and that was cool I literally fell asleep woke up in a panic because I thought I had missed your phone call from the driver which never came. 2 and 20min hours later, I called there and told them that I was canceling my order because it was taking too long and I had to leave for work. The lady understood and was very apologetic. 15 minutes after that the driver pulls up and calls I calmly tells him that I had canceled my order because it took too long.10 minutes later I get a call from the owner yelling screaming and cursing at me about why I was canceling our order and to never call back. I tried to explain to him the reason but he was just not having it. He was very rude and disrespectful in cursing me out and then he slammed the phone down. At that point I was extremely upset and actually walked over there gave the driver a tip and explain to him my side of the story and he understood and then I walked into the restaurant and confronted the owner who was shot that I showed up I slam $20 on the counter for the order, and said you did not have to curse me out and that I would never come back to the restaurant again, I walked out the door and before I could get halfway back the cook came out apologize for the owners to behavior and offered to give me the food and my $20 back I chose not to take the food, I did take the $20 back and went on my way. I will never ever patronize Luigi's again. In the day of GrubHub, Uber eats, and doordash the local Mom and Pop restaurant needs to understand that they just can't treat people any old way. This place is really the worst. That's a shame because the food is good. The problem is the workers are incompetent. That usually means the management are totally incompetent. This is the 3rd and final time I will ever order food from here and that's a shame because there's a real lack of quality restaurants in the Austin area. A few weeks ago I ordered a pizza deal that comes with a free 2liter of Pepsi. After waiting almost 2 hours the pizza shows up without the Pepsi. I called to complain and was told they could drop off my Pepsi or give me $5 off my next order. I took the $5. When I ordered the 2nd time I was told it would be about an hour. Just a beef and sausage combo. After 1 hour and 55 minutes I called and cancelled my order sacrificing my $5 rebate apparently. The 3rd and final time was today. I ordered online at 12:37. At 2:37 I still didn't have any food so I called only to find out that they just started the order because the boss just turned in the order. Not sure if he was high or slow or what. So I told them that they need to give me a discount because this is just sad. I was told if be getting 35% off my order. So I was like okay fine I'll wait another 2 hours for my order.
