Suffron Cafe — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

It's been 2 months and we have been getting disappointed after time and time again, the meat has lost its good seasoning or the meat is not fresh. Spoiled lentil soup after being closed on scheduled days ,What happened?! What happen to the cook?! Is he feeling ok?! The food is like night and day. We gave it another chance but it's sad to say that the best out of everything we ordered was the fries. That's why we have decided to update our review and takeout business else wear. Consistency matters especially paying premium price. Today we decided to explore this new place Saffron Cafe and it was Delicious!!!! Flavorful!! I ordered a meat plate with salad no rice$20. My son and husband had a gyro plate $8 with a twist but delicious.It was so filling have felt overs for lunch and it was mouth watery. I had only 1 place I ordered middle Eastern food. New mediterranean restaurant in Bucktown. Ordered online and dinner was ready in twenty minutes.

Husband picked up food and reports clean restaurant and nice owner. Our food was packed appropriately and still warm when we got home.

For food: Gyro sandwich, fries, Chicken Shawarma Plate and Red Pepper Hummus. All food items were great. French fries were plentiful and crispy. Gyro sandwich was full of meat and fresh veggies. First time my husband didn't complain about thr lack of meat. The Chicken Shawarma plate was good. I was in-between this and Chicken Shawarma Sandwich, happy I chose this because i got to try the rice. Rice was fluffy and complimented the chicken flavor. I enjoyed my greek salad and finished that all bc it had the dressing on top.
