We had a fantastic 3rd birthday party for our daughter. The staff was truly amazing! We did a ton of DIY and had more than the typical food and drinks, and there was a lot of set up! We had 6-8 people helping set up and we barely got it done in time!
The assistants were extremely patient, high energy and kept the food stocked and cleaned up discreetly. We didn't have an opening for games, so we didn't do them. The kids were happy to play with all the toys. I cannot believe they flipped it in 30 mins. It's wild. A child also had a big vomit and they cleaned it up quickly and sanitized the floor. They did it with a smile, and without hesitation.
We hired a balloonist and face painter. Jessica was great about setting up the extra vendors. The balloonist was great. He was punctual and prepared. He made as many balloon swords as our rambunctious boys needed. There were many! He made fairy wands, fairy wings, and if course the typical balloon dog. His balloons were super colorful and the kids loved them. I gave his card to several of the moms inquiring.
The face painter was also excellent and really understanding with kids with sensory issues. She was very accommodating and kind. She did really elaborate stuff, which was amazing, but it might have been more efficient to have 6-10 examples that were quicker. The kids were ecstatically happy with all their amazing creations. It was definitely not your basic face painting you get at a fair. My son and his friends had full tiger faces!
The kids (ages 2-6) loved playing with all the toys in the playroom. There was everything from slides, gross motor to a huge kitchen for imaginary play and a pirate ship for little boys to play fight on. We had the bubble machine going and music too. I was told by so many parents it was the best party ever. Thanks again Purple Monkey Playroom for an...
Read moreI would not recommend this establishment at all for a birthday party. I have hosted, as well as attended, many birthday parties at various venues and have never been treated as rudely in my life. At this particular party I was a party guest and felt very uncomfortable and embarrassed for the party host, which was a relative. Throughout the entire party, the attendant kept coming up to the host of the party telling her what time it was. Every few minutes she was tracking time. How can guests enjoy themselves and celebrate a momentous occasion, such as a 1st birthday, when someone is practically rushing them out before their scheduled time is even up. We began cleaning up before the scheduled end time. Before leaving I went to the restroom. Immediately as I exited and put my shoes on to leave, the attendant was telling me, a guest, that it was 4:00. Can guests not use the restroom on their way out the door? The only other remaining guest was a relative who told the attendant that she was looking for a toy that her child brought and left. The attendant stated, "Well it's 4:01 and your party ended at 4:00. We charge for every minute after 4:00. There's a $75 fee per the contract you signed.". I was flabbergasted. The guest did not sign a contract and was only looking for a lost toy, which would not have hindered you from cleaning up as you were. The party was over and everyone had exited. The entire experience was beyond ridiculous,...
Read moreToday I brought my son here for the first time for “open play”. At first look it seems like a decent place to have playtime. There is a good variety of toys and pretend play areas. A few reasons I will not return. Poor cleanliness. I saw someone else complained about this, but the owner responded and made it seem like that person is not credible. However, I completely agree, this facility is not clean. The floor is sticky, I had to wash my hands twice, just because I had gotten on the floor with my son and my hands got super sticky. My socks were even sticking to the floor. Considering we were the first open play of the day, I would expect the floor to be clean. Because of the response I saw from the owner, saying that people should address cleanliness with the staff instead of “ranting”. Perhaps the owner should ensure the cleanliness and not expect people not to share their experiences, good or bad. Lastly, when you walk in, you put your belongings and shoes in this little area. It’s very disorganized. There needs to be shoe shelves and a better area for strollers considering the clientele.
I have 2 stars because the staff was friendly, the concept is nice, and the variety of play options were favorable. However, I do feel it’s reasonable to lose 3 stars for cleanliness; especially where kiddos are...
