(I don't leave reviews, I leave short stories) I've been talking about buying a new mattress for months. I finally just flipped through my planner and picked a random Saturday and wrote "Go Mattress Shopping." (you know, so I would remember to set time aside and actually do it). Flash forward to a few weeks ago when I lost my phone while walking my dog.(Oh, and my phone is also my wallet; credit cards, drivers license... yeah. I was not happy). When I called my number a man named Stan answered and told me he had found my phone (it fell out of my pocket when I was crossing Milwaukee and I can't believe it didn't get destroyed by a car). Anyway, Stan works at Mattress Firm, and he had been trying so hard to track me down all morning to get my phone back to me. He said that recently he had lost his phone and a stranger got it back to him so he wanted to pay it forward. While I was at the store I tested out a few Mattresses, (I think Stan thought I was just being nice since he saved my phone, but for real, my old mattress was terrible). Stan was so knowledgable and patient and funny, we had a great afternoon picking out the new mattress. Still reading? Great, it gets better. When I got home I looked at my planner and saw that it WAS THE DAY that I had randomly picked and written "Go Mattress Shopping." I guess writing down your goals really helps you accomplish them; I was going mattress shopping on that Saturday even if I had to lose my phone to get there. CRAZY... right? In conclusion, always remember to be like Stan and pay it forward! Also, I AM IN LOVE WITH MY NEW MATTRESS - DO NOT UNDERVALUE A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP! Go get a new mattress here, and ask...
Read moreI had a 100% 5 Star experience working with the professionals at the Wicker Park location. I'm big on research and had been reading a lot on mattresses and I found that a number of these cheaper Caspers and Purple, bed in the box etc, they'd give a bit after 1-2 years. I was lead to MattressFirm again and again, finally I reluctantly walked over with two security guards (friends) to go to the Notorious Mattress store salespeople.
I was TOTALLY WRONG. Louis and Alyssa were both informative, never pushed anything, and when I said a bed was more comfortable than the more expensive one, they'd support me and show me beds with similar feel, sometimes cheaper, sometimes more expensive. They were two professionals simply making sure I walked out with a comfortable bed I can look forward to coming home to. They didn't try to pull any fast ones on me, and answered all my questions DIRECTLY they did not beat around the bush and I always appreciate that.
I'd recommend everyone to go see Louis and Alyssa at the MattressFirm in Wicker Park if they're looking for a new mattress. Shopping there is not like the rumors people say, its a very low stress/non-pushy environment that makes your feel comfortable with the investment you've made on your new bed. Thank you again...
Read moreInitially, things were great. I brought a basic low end mattress, I was not satisfied, I traded up. The premium, best seller was defective. I went in with pictures, the transaction needed to be approved by a manager. The next day I went in, and could not complete the transaction. The third time was successful. I was told my initial delivery would not be changed. But it was. What I do not understand is that the defective mattress is counted towards the 120 night period. Also while in the store on the first evening to show pictures of the defective mattress. I noticed a beautiful couple being offered discounts for various reasons, and I thought about the blanat inequality that is happening everyday everywhere. While the salesperson was a young beautiful AA. I too am AA. I did not receive the quality of service. 3 visits, and I am told to inspect the mattress upon delivery. What happens to product reliability, at 70 years of age, it really impossible upon arrival for me test every inch of the product. I am not a 1st time customer, but I wonder about...
