We have been going to this place for years now. My husband is allergic to cilantro, so I requested no cilantro in his burrito. He got cilantro in his burrito, so he called and they said they would replace the burrito if he came in. He drove back and once there, they opened up the burrito and saw the cilantro. Instead of apologizing and giving him a new burrito, they said that this is "residual" cilantro because they use the same gloves for the other vegetables. They said that there's not enough cilantro for them to replace it...after he even brought back the other burrito and told them to keep it. I then called them and they said that they opened up the burrito and didn't find any cilantro and apparently he said my husband agreed. He then proceeded to say, I don't know what he's trying to pull, maybe he's drunk or "on something.". I obviously got upset by the accusation and hung up the phone. Please tell me how my husband is trying to "pull something" when he brings back a burrito that he only took two bites out of and is ready to return it. And the other individuals we are with also confirmed that he has cilantro in his burrito. We have been patrons for years and have recommended this place to so many other people who also provide business. That is not going to happen anymore. All we requested is an acknowledgement that a mistake is made and to repair that rather than accusing us. We obviously are not trying to "pull something" as we are frequent patrons and have even come back to pay tips that we did not have enough cash to pay the previous day as credit cards are not accepted. Good to know how they treat frequent customers if it doesn't suit...
Read moreI decided to check out this local spot as I have passed by it a million times. I called for my pick up and despite the unprofessionalism on the phone I continued with me order. Upon arrival I was informed that they only take cash, given the fact I am avid apple pay user I was taken aback, but I went home and got cash due to not having my debit card, plus who wants to pay atm fees. When I arrived back to the establishment I politely mentioned that in the future it would be best if they informed over the phone orders of this policy as most individuals do not carry cash especially with Covid-19 being our current reality, to avoid possible confusion. Though I was simply trying to help and let him know, as a business owner myself, but instead I was met with defensive condescending comments such as “you should asked” “well you can tell the owner yourself, because I do not work for you.” Now as I understand he is not the owner, as it was most obvious in his unprofessionalism, I do understand he may have felt attacked because he was in charge of the phone and would have been responsible for letting me know of their cash only policy. Overall, he was unnecessarily rude and unpleasant.
Furthermore, to top it off my food was subpar and cold. I will not recommend this place and will ensure I tell others of...
Read moreThis place has been around for quite a while. Even though they limit themselves with cash only, i think it speaks to their cooking ability and food quality that they're able to continue the cash only policy. They continue to pump out tacos and burritos at a truly amazing pace. Call for a pickup and i have never been told the wait will be longer than 10 mins. I personally do love their "platillos" aka entrees/dinners. Pork in red salsa is pretty spicy but with a great flavor and based in chile de árbol if I'm not mistaken. Chicharrón en salsa verde is another one of our go tos but they of course have the basics as well such as gorditas, sopes and tortas. I highly recommend this place! Pandemic times makes it awkward with it being a smaller place but the gentlemen there always proper will gladly hold the door for you if they see you struggling or weighed down with food. We'll happily continue...
