Wings & Ale — Restaurant in West Columbia

I went here for the first time last night and was not only disappointed, but DISGUSTED by the manner I saw other customers treated and shocked when I was given the same rude attitude all for absolutely no reason!

So here's the rundown and reason I will NEVER go back!

So I get there and the place is packed for the Carolina game. As I walk in there is a young lady sitting on a bar stool. She just looks at me. I don't know if she works here because she doesn't greet me or say anything at all. So I smile and say "This is my first time here. I'm meeting a friend. Where are the pool tables?" She points towards them. As I say thanks I notice the Wings and Ale logo on her shirt.

After a drink and about 20 minutes my friend says the pool tables are shutting down. So as they are finishing up their game I notice security come in the area and start to monitor. So they start to talk the the various pool players and I notice a group of customers look upset. One guy walks by and says the server told them "This area was closing so get the f@$k out" then called over security to talk the the customers. I was shocked!

So next security tells us that the area was closed and to end the game, walks away and starts turning off the lights on the side where we were. They left the lights on the other half of the area where there were a bunch of game watchers. More security come to the exit only door and motions for someone to open it. So a guy does and 1 minute later another security comes over and says to my area, " Don't open the door again or you will be kicked out!" So the guy tries to explain security asked him to and she cuts him of and says again "Don't open the door or you will be kicked out!"

At this point I'm shocked at the customer service. I witnessed a customer get cursed at by staff, several threatened to be put out simply because their pool game wasn't over fast enough, and lights tuned off on some who were still eating and having drinks. So now I'm ready to go and had only been there for about an hour if that long.

So I head outside with my friend. He walks me to my car and we are standing next to my car as I get my keys out. Than I see security come over and say to us "You can't hang out in the parking lot!" I explain that I'm getting my keys. They just look and walk away. So I get in my car start putting my address in GPS and I bright light shines in my face. Security again! "You can't hang out in the parking lot!" So I'm thinking really! I hadn't been there 5 minutes and they have yelled at me twice while I'm in the process of leaving!

Any place that curses there customers, harasses them, and speaks to them as if speaking to a jail inmate is not a place I want to spend my time or money. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. THEY HAVE THE RUDEST STAFF I HAVE EVER...

My husband and I went to Wings and Ale on bush river road this afternoon. We both were so disappointed in the service we received from our waitress and I use that title loosely. Cherell B was her name and her attitude started almost immediately When we asked for dill chips cooked extra well. That request got me the eat st and die look. Of course they were not cooked well done. Later when I asked to add mushrooms to my lunch it was obviously a major undertaking for her to put that request in the computer, since I received a very childish eye roll. Moments later she walked by and was announcing to the whole section as she walked by what a pain her other customers were and that they were ngetting on her nerves. Finally our food was delivered and was very good. No issues with the kitchen staff. We requested a extra ranch which got us yet another eat st and die look but this time she actually added in a deep breath and “huffed” at me! At no point did she check to see if we were happy with our food or if we needed another beer, which my husband obviously did since his empty bottle had been sitting on the edge of the table. About 10 min later she walked past us again with no intention of stopping but my husband yelled at her to please bring 2 boxes and the check. This time she gave him “The Look”. Went on 8/17. The reason why I knocked off a star was the service. Unfortunately, our waitress made an error in our order where my small son didn’t get his meal. It turned out it wasn’t put in our order, we made it a point to say it really wasn’t a big deal as we had plenty of food for him to eat! We were not angry at all and didn’t show any signs of anger. We could tell our waitress felt really bad about it…..however we never once saw her again. She didn’t bring out our food, she didn’t come check in on us, didn’t offer to fill our empty drinks, didnt clear off anything at our table. Kind of rushed by us everytime and didn’t even make any eye contact with us. Like I said, wasn’t annoyed with the mistake in the order, it really didn’t matter that much at all, but ignoring us kind of bothered us. It was busy, but it seemed like she visited and checked in with every other table. I know how the waitressing life is, so I made it a point to still tip well….but still wanted to put it out there. So I guess a deduction in one star.
