I find it hard to believe that no one has mentioned the Menudo that is served at this restaurant. The long line on Saturdays and Sundays is not just for the tacos. Myself and my daughter take great pride in searching for the best menudo in the San Gabriel Valley and at this point Rambo's menudo is the best. The menudo is served very clean so that you are able to season it just the way you like. Please come out and give the Menudo a try you won't be sorry. So it has been about 6 months since I did the review on the menudo and I decided to go back and try some of the other items. I ordered a taco of alpastor . The meat was unlike any other past or that I am accustomed to and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise it reminded me of birria and I rather enjoyed it. The thing that really pulled the toddler together was the red Chile. The chili at this restaurant reminds me of the red chili at King Taco always hotter this stuff is not for sissies. If you like your chili full of flavor and hot as hell you're going to love this chili as I did. I also ordered a carne asada burrito and I could say the balance was right on. The rice was cookwell and the meat was not over seasoned just right. I would definitely recommend this place for the other menu items other than the great menudo which I still believe is the best in the area and I have...
Read moreO...m...g! Worst service and food EVER! I came in with my kids and could not find parking anywhere. But we hung in there and found a space. When we went in, the place was no bigger than a walk in closet! But we hung in there and enjoyed the hole in the wall atmosphere. When we ordered the food the gut wouldn't even acknowledge us. But we hung in there thinking it's confidence because their food is good... maybe. We paid and waited for our food and it finally was ready... WORST MEXICAN FOOD I'VE EVER TASTED! The asada meat was soggy, the tortillas were cracking from being undercooked, the tortas were falling apart from being soaked in whatever juice was draining from the...
Read moreMy wife and I like to try a little of each type of meat for our tacos, we ordered: asada, buche, tripas and al pastor. The asada was good and the best out of the meats we ordered. The buche was pretty chewy, not really desirable texture. The tripas tasted like they rarely sold it at this location, chewy and not too flavorful. finally the al pastor was alright, seemed different from the DTLA style that's for sure, which is fine since you cant expect everything to be the best at one location. We also ordered an asada burrito which tasted really good. I hope to expand on the different items offered here, but for now I recommend the asada items as they are...
