I order something from this shop to be delivered. They took my money and sent nothing. I had to contact my credit card fraud department to get it back.

It is sad that this retailer continues to be dishonest and blame their customers for their mistakes. Please see the photo I attached of the email sent on December 24, 2021. I obviously could not have ordered this item on December 25, if I was asked to pay the extra money the day before.
Further, I agreed to pay this extra surprise fee and instead of replying to my email and telling me that her feelings were hurt that I expressed disappointment that the price will be going up when I have no more time to select something else. My order was canceled, no refund was issued and I only found out that nothing was delivered when the person who the gift was for reached out. It has been more than a month with no communication and the response no surprise is aggression.
This Meg claims she had "no option" but to cancel my order. One possible option would be to let me know that my order would be canceled and provide a refund. To date (Feb 1, 2022) no refund has been issued but, I have contacted the fraud department for my credit card so, I will be no longer be dealing directly with this dishonest...

My boyfriend and I were incredibly let down by our experience with Chocolate Storybook. We had placed an order for a gift that was extremely important and time-sensitive, and we clearly communicated that we would be picking it up at 5 PM on July 3rd. This was confirmed in advance, and we were counting on them to follow through.
When we arrived, the store was closed — with no prior notice, no call, and no explanation. We waited and tried to contact them for 30 minutes, but received no response or call back, even afterward. Not only did we leave empty-handed, but we were left scrambling without the gift we urgently needed, which was extremely frustrating and disappointing.
What made the situation worse was the complete lack of acknowledgment or apology. For a business that relies on customer trust, this kind of poor communication and disregard for follow-through is unacceptable. We expected much better and unfortunately cannot recommend them based on this...
Read moreFirst time customer and I went with the 32count truffle chocolates for a Christmas gift for my fiancé. and I was not expecting what arrived. the chocolate box was perfectly wrapped whoever wrapped it took the time and appreciation to ensure that the attention to detail was perfect. & I mean perfect! I’m from Arizona way on the west coast ordering chocolates all the way from the East coast I was like ima sure have some melted ones lol so anyways I ordered the truffle chocolates The weather here is a lot warmer then it is in Iowa but I took the risk and I’m glad I did I got my order in 4 days there was not one single melted truffle they all were perfectly intact. This was my first time buying and I wanted something special for Christmas for my fiancé gift. and for a first time impression storybook chocolates did an amazing job she loved them and so did I we are enjoying them with some coffee the salted one amazing and tasty I will definitely be a returning customer.
