Pup's 212 Bar & Grill — Restaurant in West Frankfort

Pup's 212 Bar & Grill is an excellent place to visit. Spent time today speaking with the owners Greg & Sheryl. They were very personable and justifiably proud of their business. We had a great time there. My Buddy won $170 at video poker within 5 minutes of our arrival. They have an impressive menu. Their meat comes from a local butcher from locally raised cows. The meatloaf sandwich and fried potatoes are outstanding! Greg recommended I try one of his burgers, and I plan on going back to do so. They offer darts, pool tables and video poker machines. There is a covered outdoor area for smoking. This Bar is almost like two bars in one. On one side you'll find people drinking, laughing and having fun. On the other side you'll find families and couples enjoying a meal together. The interior is immaculately clean and well-lit, with high ceilings and plenty of floor space. They have live music on occasion, and dancing too. Pup's has recently added smart terminals for easier ordering and more payment options. Thank you Lexi for the tasty top shelf Long Island Iced Tea. I have to say ... The 212 is very underrated for the food ... Ive tried alot of it ... And i have yet to find a menue item im not in love with ... To be honest its honestly the best food in town... I mean you get a basket of pickel chips and its more than one person can eat so order for the table of 3-4 ... If your sitting at the bar having a drink its the perfect munchie ... There sandwiches are fantastic ... The ruben is a personal.favorite of mine period i have eaten rubens all over the country and theres has the flavor down pat ... A real decent high quality sandwich ... The philly cheese steak is amazing ... The sirloin is fantastic as well ... To be honest this tiny kitchen does there menue right ... Its not a huge bunch of choices ... But that is what makes the food so good .. They dont try to over do it by shoving the menu with more than they can handle and do whats on the menu the best in the area ... A real place more people in town should...

This was our first time and last time at this bar. I ordered a tequila sunrise and it was the worst drink I have ever had at a bar. They had to of used the cheapest tequila you can buy. $4 down the drain. I couldn't drink it. Not to mention it took forever to even get served. This bar does not have servers and if they do they dont do a good job at it. The bar tenders just let empty bottles and cups build up everywhere before they finally threw them away. Now the reason why I gave it a 2 was because they had an awesome band playing. The band is the only reason we stayed for 2 hours. The band is called that 90's band and they are great. Check them out. We will go to listen to this band again when they play...
