Came here on New Year’s Eve with the family. Food was exceptionally bad and pitiful. The cream of crab soup and the pub pretzel were the only bright spots of this pub. These two items were good, but nothing to rave about. Now, onto the disaster items. The chicken tenders were lacking any flavor, very dry, and not enjoyable whatsoever. The Buffalo Mac & Cheese was the worst… the Buffalo chicken was coated with a nasty tuna seasoning and the Mac & Cheese tasted vile with another odd fishy sauce on the Mac & Cheese. After all this, I decided to order a burger, to be safe. I go ahead to order the burger and the waiter advises me that we can’t order burgers to cook rare, medium rare, etc. only “pink or no pink.” I never heard of an establishment that was incapable of cooking a burger to the customer’s preference… I was dumbfounded. However, my mom who ordered a burger which is pictured below got the “pink” burger and it was medium well/well. I avoided that idea and went with onion rings. The onion rings were bland and packed with salt, couldn’t taste any onions in the onion rings. It was a terrible experience overall with the food. The service we had was subpar. The waiter Connor was quick and responsive, however was unacquainted with the menu and when my fiancé asked what dressing came with her salad, he said “I don’t know, it’s some sort of green stuff.” Very unprofessional response to a basic question about a salad. Connor also didn’t know about the “no filer” crab cakes and had to ask for clarification. Overall, a very disappointing experience and we will not be returning here. Buyer beware.

I've eaten at Trio 5-6 times. I always enjoy the food, which is why I keep coming back. I love their wraps (and the fact that any of their sandwiches can be made into a wrap). Highly recommend their wings with boom boom sauce. The reason I give it 3 stars is the service is consistently not great every time I go, regardless of whether it's lunch, dinner, weekday, or weekend. The bar is always busy with what appear to be regulars. I'm rarely greeted when I walk in and everyone at the bar just stares (including the bartender) while I find a seat. It's super uncomfortable. I've had a few mistakes made on my orders, but they've always been quick to correct them. Like I said, the food is always really good. I've noticed that I'm usually one of the only ones eating in the bar area - it seems like a lot of people (again, apparently regulars) just come to drink and hang out. Which is fine, I just wish it was a friendlier crowd. I frequently feel forgotten about by the bartender and have had to chase them down to ask for refills or checks. Sometimes the food can be REALLY slow coming out of the kitchen. I'm sure they're short staffed due to covid so I don't really blame them for this and I just have learned to plan a little extra time. The fact that I don't feel super welcome here has become a bit of a deterrent and I decided after today's visit that I'll just get take out going forward.

To start, i have a gluten allergy and noticed they have a GF Crab Cake sandwich listed on their menu. However, the bun that is listed in the description is NOT gluten-free and that is not disclosed within the item description. Looking at the menu, it shows that it is a safe item for GF people to enjoy. When I told the bartender, she didn't seem to care at all, and so basically, I wasted $25 for a meal I couldn't even enjoy. Had to order another meal with zero help from the waitress on making any effort to help me or offer any other options or remake it so that it actually is a GF meal. All she said was, "I don't make the menu," and walked away. As a first-time visit, this was horrible and disappointing. EDIT: As I was putting on my coat, the snippy bartender instructed me to remove my review since she did end up taking the sandwich off my bill, which thank you I appreciate it, but I will not change my review. My review is accurate of the experience I had at this establishment, and I would love to have a conversation with a manager about this situation and how to avoid other people with allergies from making this same mistake.
