This review is about this particular Starbucks branch and their service; not the drinks, not the food, not the brand.
The work I do for my job consists of roughly 50% traveling field work around Utah and 50% computer-based report writing. As such, I don’t have a desk at a company office building and rely on mobile hotspot and public WiFi throughout the community to perform the latter half of my job. Starbucks (and select other establishments) have made this relatively simple to accomplish via their “Third Place” policy, and I greatly appreciate it. Despite this policy stating that no purchases are necessary to be welcome at the establishment, I make it a point to at least purchase a drip coffee on every visit, but usually spend upwards of $5 per visit.
Today I stopped at this location to get a few hours of work in and made two separate purchases, totaling around $13. The drinks were good, per usual (though maybe a little heavy on the sweeteners, but that’s a separate point).
At around 8:57PM I started to pack up my laptop peripherals (power cord, mouse), tablet, notebook, etc. since they were getting ready to close at 9:00PM. Generally, it only takes me a minute or two to get out of the store, but I was waiting on a large file to upload, so I was a bit slow this time. At 8:59, while obviously packing up my things, a barista came to my table and informed me that they were closed. Not 10 seconds later, still at 8:59, all of the lights in the store except for the back room turned off. I mean ALL OF THE LIGHTS in the main area. Overhead lights, coolers, everything. It was so dark that I couldn’t see to finish getting all of my stuff put into my backpack. As such, I apologized to the barista for taking a moment longer since not being able to see was slowing me down. All the while she was holding the door open for me, seemingly to try to get me out faster.
About another minute later, at 9:01PM, I was out the door and in the parking lot. As I unlocked my truck, most of the interior lights turned back on and they started cleaning. Obviously, this had been a tactic to make it as inconvenient as possible for customers to overstay their welcome.
This was a small thing, but it struck me as being WILDLY inconsiderate. If an establishment is closing, I make every attempt to be out before they’re ready to lock the doors. That said, sometimes slight delays happen and being 30 seconds late shouldn’t be a big deal. Especially not as a loyal, paying customer.
I’ll likely be back here some day due to its convenience, but I’ll make an attempt to work at other locations so as to not spend money here and foster their lack of accommodation and...
Read moreOh my goodness, I have absolutely fallen in love with Starbucks sous vide bites! I had the ham and cheese sous vide bites and honestly have never had a better breakfast. They are small, but filling. I also had a cold blueberry tea, which definitely hit the spot. Unfortunately, I also ordered 1 of tgeir breakfast sand wiches, and was totally disappointed in that! It was only toasted on one side, on texas toast, and the filling only covered a very small round on the very middle of the bread. The bread itself was so hard, that I acrually couldn't chew it. I adore the Frappuccino's and so many if their teas, and in the future I'll stick with my sous vide bites, and I know I'll have a great trip. I would love it if in the future, Starbucks would bag my items, because I got two and wasn't even given a bag, which hello, I'm 1 person, with two menu items as a drink. Most drive-thru people would figure to put it in a bag. Next time, I guess I'll remember to ask for 1, but it's not enough to stop me from buying breakfast, etc....
Read moreITS WORTH THE DRIVE TO GO ANY WHERE ELSE. I have had multiple bad services with this place. I live very close but now drive an extra 10 mins to go to a different one. The guy taking our order was very nice and kind when we asked a question and ordered. But the lady who was at the window rolled her eyes when we gave her the cash she threw the coins at our car then slammed the drive through window. She did cause some dings on our car we were not happy with her we asked her what’s up why did she and she ignored us and handed the drinks then shut the door. Then she asked us to move forward because our 1 drink was gonna take a little while to make. We did what she asked and sat there for 15 mins before a guy brought out the drinks. We got the Iced London Fog Tea Latte and the Iced Passion Tango Tea Lemonade. Photos added the London fog was good it was like tea with cream and the passion tango was watered down passion with little lemonade. I won’t be coming back due the the damages on my car I give a zero in...
