Joe StrEAT Cafe — Restaurant in West Manchester Township

I've tried most of the local non-chain coffee shops and Joe Streat has the best coffee. The staff is friendly does very good at making orders quickly. Mr. Streat is usually there grinding his beans so that they're fresh. What ever coffee beans they're using are very good. Sometimes in an espresso drink like a latte you really lose the coffee flavor in the milk and added flavorings but their coffee always shines through. They have a small bakery display, it always has the essentials like cinnamon rolls and muffins and also items from the local allergen free/keto bakery Safe and Sweet. I've only ever tried their breakfast sandwiches and the steak breakfast sandwich, both were good. I normally frequent another local coffee shop, but JSC is closer to my house so I decided to give it a try today. I got a strawberry refresher (I’m not a coffee drinker) and the CBR panini. My goodness, both were delicious! The panini was incredible and you can tell the ingredients are high quality. Best bacon ever. I ordered takeout online (super easy process) but waited in the cafe for a few minutes while my food was being made. The space is bright and pleasant with nice service to boot. I will 100% be back! Food overall is consistent. Has that yummy homemade vibe to it. But today I decided to try the GFDF Brownie, and it was awful. Tasted like oil, and nothing more. As you can see the oil is saturating the paper bag. Never had a gf brownie so oily and lacking of flavor. They shouldn’t be selling this item as it’s the perfect gut bomb and waste of$3. I know gluten and dairy free is hard to perfect but this needs to be pulled from the case until the person who bakes learns how to properly...
