Disappointing.
Looking past the over hyped reputation of this place, decided to stop through quick for lunch for my wife and I.
"Quick" was not an option. From the time I hit go on the order, to the time the food came out, I believe 23 minutes had passed. I was order 194, and they were on 183 when I got my ticket.
The food was not good, to me. The snack wraps I got were not wrapped. They were effectively tacos, and so messy in the bag that I couldn't eat one of the two I ordered. Apparently the guy making them skipped wrap day, and also softballed that second one into the bag. He also had all of his scraggly beard over the prep area. No hair protection at all. Not a deal breaker for me, but, also not a good look. The quality of the chicken was poor. I could taste the oil it was fried in more than the chicken.
I got a small order of chicken fingers for the pup, and my wife got a cheese panini.
She liked hers well enough. But not enough to warrant the 20 minute wait.
The bill for those four items came to over $20.00.
So, to summarize: 1 cheese panini 1 small chicken fingers 2 chicken and pickle snack wraps.
Over $20.00.
So the food was not worth the price, or the time to wait for it. Certainly not worthy of the hype and praise that my fellow Pennsylvanians heap generously on the brand.
The wait time makes the stop not-at-all convenient, and I don't have a need to go back.
The Rutters across the street, pound for pound, is a much better value.
Some positives:The place was very clean and the person running the register (could have been a manager) was very friendly. He was making a point to ensure people were happy.
Unfortunately though, it's reputation precedes it, and this Wawa experience did not live up...
Read moreThis is why Rutters an Sheetz get the win!! My boyfriend and I stop here around 11:30p on 3/13. We ordered food, went to pay (at the self checkout). Our card was declined twice. So, I asked the girl at the register if there was something wrong with their card system. She replied, "oh, sorry, yes the card system is down". IM SORRY WHAT?? Why couldn't you tell us that as you watch us pay at self checkout, knowing it only takes a card?????? Then we were told that we had to reorder our food. Wait, WHAT?? Our order should have never been deleted off of the screen. I then offered a suggestion....."there should be signs on the self checkout monitors and the ordering monitors." Several other customers came in.....NOT ONE employee informed any person ordering food or purchasing any items that the system was down and they could only take cash. As we were waiting for our food, I said to a man ordering food, "I hope you don't plan on paying with a card.....because their system is down. Glad I informed him....he stopped ordering and walked out. Signs on the doors...no one is reading...font was not big enough. COMMUNICATION is key and could have prevented all of this. And again NOT ONE employee including the supervisor, informed any patron that their system was down. All you have to do is COMMUNICATE.....THIS made for a very BAD experience. Next time I'll go right across the...
Read moreI just want to say, FABULOUS job to store 8192! You are all doing a wonderful job! The store is always clean and the associates are always so kind and accommodating.
I feel like this needs to be said to fellow customers coming in though: Do NOT order at the same time as everyone else and expect your order to come out fast. This is NOT a fast food service. I've stood next to some crappy people who are mad that their order was not out fast enough, but as someone who has worked in this industry, it's not as simple as throwing a sandwich together and throwing it in a "toaster". Everything is made as fresh as can be and that takes time. If you have one person coming in ordering 5 different things, their order is going to take longer than someone just ordering 1 or 2 items. So...as a fellow customer, please give grace to these wonderful people. Some are even working holidays to...
