Bagel Town Cafe — Restaurant in West Milford

The only good thing about this place was a young kid is working here today very polite and sweet and respectful. But the older guy back there with the red cap Jesus Christ he first messed up my order. I ordered the toasted bagel with egg and ham no cheese and I got a toasted bagel with just bacon. I go back in without making a scene, in front of me he starts picking through the garbage I guess he thought I was lying about my order and went to the back without changing his gloves after picking through the garbage. I hear him start grabbing things to make my correct sandwich and then he comes out slices ham in his hands and still not changing the gloves and carries the ham in his hands to the back and makes my sandwich not even apologizing and I'm like an idiot saying thank you again and he goes to me uh ha and walks away. You don't like your job you should quit your job but dude you shouldn't work in the kitchen very disgusting habits and very disgusting attitude. How I'm walking into my house I'm literally throwing this in the garbage and making my own food. I won't even give it to my dogs That's how disgusted this is. I gave you 20 bucks for nothing. FYI for the owner you used to have a five-star review from me and so many times you messed my up my order and I never came back but this was overboard. I ordered a egg and ham bagel to just get plain bacon. I wasn't even yelling nor complaining ask the young kid that was working today on March 19, 2025. The young kid apologized at least 15 times... I ordered through DoorDash and they didn't even accept or confirm the order until my dasher was already there and waiting - almost 30 minutes later.

After the food got delivered I noticed the matzo balls were only two per cup and kind of small but otherwise "decent" at best.

The problem I had was when I was almost halfway done eating half of a breakfast wrap - I bit in and found a used bandaid that must have fallen off of whoever was making the sandwich when they were wrapping. I called to complain about it and the person who answered the phone was surprised and said they'd issue a credit but I had to reach out to DoorDash hours later to get it resolved by myself.

Under no circumstances should anyone bite into their food and find a used bandaid - this place...

With understanding we are in a global pandemic and times can be chaotic for us all, this is by far the WORST customer service I have ever seen every time I come here. I called in for a few bagels with cream cheese, they told me it was going to be 20 minutes in a very rude manner. I waited that time then arrived with no instruction and confused by the curbside pickup with no greeting after 5 minutes. The staff continued to ignore me waiting in the parking lot. Even a customer that arrived after us got served first because it was one of the staff members “friends”. I’m tired of coming to this place and being treated poorly by the staff.
