McDonald's — Restaurant in West Milford

DO NOT GO THROUGH THE DRIVE THRU. No, that’s not a new horror movie, I’m giving you sound advice. Do not go through the drive thru of this McDonalds. I went on August 16, 2023 for dinner, and ordered a Double Quarter Pounder with cheese, large fries and a large diet coke. Paid at the first window. At the second window I was handed my drink and was told to go park in one of the drive thru spots and they would bring my food out to me. They said if the 3 right there were full, to go around to the other side. Of course, I had to go around to the other side. For the next 15 minutes I watched in my rear view mirror and saw McDonalds employees come out of the restaurant and bring food to the other cars that were parked closer to the drive thru. After a few more minutes I decided I would just call them and check on my order. I saw the phone number on my receipt and on my phone so I called. It rang and rang and rang and rang. No one ever answered.

At one point I saw an employee coming towards me with a tray of food … yay! But nope, he went to the truck parked next to me. So I’m realizing all of these cars that went through the drive thru AFTER me were getting their food and driving off into the sunset. I yelled to the employee and I told him I was still waiting for my food. He apologized and said they were really busy. I said, “Yeah, but you’re busy helping all the cars that came after ME.” He apologized and then did come back out a few minutes later with my order. He said the manager packed it herself and threw in an Apple Pie for me to enjoy. Okay, I’m not into the Apple Pie but it was a nice gesture. The rest of the food was great but now fast forward to today — THE NEXT DAY .. August 17, 2023. I happened to be in the same area at the same time (unusual cause I live an hour away). I went through the drive thru again. I ordered the same exact thing as the day before—nothing special. When I got to the window I was handed my drink and was asked to pull into a parking spot again. I had to pull to the side again, which is on the OTHER side of the building (But it is marked for the drive thru). I even said to the girl, “That’s what you told me yesterday and then I was forgotten”. She said, “Can I keep your receipt…? … then we won’t forget you cause I’ll put it right here…” Haha, we laughed and had a moment. I handed her back my receipt and pulled around the corner and parked. Well, well, what do you know .. 15 minutes went by and no food, but once again I can see employees in my mirror bringing food out to everyone else. Once again, I flagged one of them down and told him I was waiting for my food. He asked me what I ordered so I told him. (I didn’t have my receipt because the girl at the window kept it). He went back inside. I gave him 5 minutes. Nothing. I drove through the drive thru lane and pulled up to the window. I held up my drink (which was now empty) and told the girl that I was still waiting for my food. She said the guy was just walking out to give it to me … and then she disappeared for a few seconds and then handed me my food. The whole point of going to a fast food restaurant and going through the drive thru is convenience and speed. This was two days in a row—being totally forgotten. I don’t know what their system is for serving people in the drive thru but it’s definitely not working. I love McDonalds but I will never be going to this one again....

Ok, so we all know McDonald's is junk, but it's tasty junk right? WRONG! This McDonald's consistently serves the most disgusting burgers compared to other Micky D's. You know, you're hungry, don't want to cook and feel like comfort food, then, the kids bring company over so you run over to McDonald s and grab bags of stuff - varied, like 1/4 pounders with or without cheese, big macs, double cheeseburgers, fries etc. You remember you didn't love the food the last time, but maybe that was an off night. Guess what, it wasn't, but rather one of their better nights. The food we bought tonight and actually ate was so overcooked, so salty, so sloppily put together and just so off putting from any others I've had, I'm actually belching up what tastes like raw, not too fresh fish. NEVER AGAIN! i always thought these places followed prep and recipes set down by the corporation - I still think that as I've tasted a lot of the others but tonight took the cake for gross.

This McDonald's has the option of backing out as the mall is reorganizing and, Lord, we are praying they bug out and leave us a Wendy's, a Taco Belll, a Burger King or a KFC -- anything but this truly lousy substitute for genuine McDonald's. We will never, ever e tempted to eat their food again. Plenty of pizza places around. If it must...

my dad just passed away i am a 17yr old and i got the most disrespect from the chubby green vest wearing women. she yelled at me over me getting water cup(free) and getting a tiny bit of sprite to put on the bottom with the water instead of being resepcful and asking me to just not do that and dump it or pay she very rudely, loudly yelled across the floor where people are eating and enjoying there meals about 1.36 cups even tho my newly widowed and single mother has barely enough to pay the bills it’s more important to pay for a drink over the taxes and electric to this women. comepletly disrespectful and didn’t even apologize after the fact. extremely disappointed in the establishment and employees and the manger who let this happen. (photo of proof my dad did pass away) i told this woman that and she continued to yell at me and tell me to leave.after the fact i had a breakdown in my car and went to go to my fathers grave to grieve the terrible tragic and sudden passing. the pain i go thru no one could understand till you go thru it. honestly completely disappointing used to by my happy and favorite place to spend memories with my father who had Parkinson’s most of my life. disrespect like this shouldn’t go without...
