Golden Pier Seafood — Restaurant in West Monroe

This is hands down the BEST place in the twin cities to eat seafood. I discovered it several years back while living with some ladies in recovery not to far from there location. A friend of mine treated me and I fell in love and so since then when I'm able , I treat my friends too and they are NEVER disappointed. The little lady that runs the cash register always had a warm and friendly smile and I've even walked in at almost closing time and she was still happy to take my order. She is really sweet and I always brag about how great their food is. When you order be prepared to get some piping hot food straight out of the fryer. I normally get the friend catfish fillets with great big french fries, green salad and hush puppies yum yum. It's a very casual setting so nothing to fancy but I believe this place deserves a spot in the News Paper somewhere for great food in North East La. Yes it's that darn good. The prices are great as well. Will continue to give this place my support and lots of my checkbook hahaha....

•STAY AWAY• Listen and believe the negative reviews, because we didn’t!! Spent $26.00 here and was refused to have our meals made fresh! The fries were old and cold! The shrimp had no seasoning and tasted super fishy. Ordered a 3pc wing meal and it was not fresh! The woman(one of owners) argued and argued that this food was good and they don’t serve old food. Refused a refund, refused a remake! We didn’t eat this and lost money, but I really hope they know what you do unto others will resurface to you! This is so unrighteous and you should not be serving customers (especially seafood) old food! Shame...

Yesterday was my first time at Golden pier seafood. I had the jumbo boiled shrimp with corn on the cob and red potatoes. I asked the lady to make it spicy for me and it was excellent! I had ordered the medium sized portion and it was definitely more than I could eat; had a second meal later that evening and it was just as delicious! As I’ve gotten older, things just don’t taste the same, certainly not as I remember them tasting. But the shrimp, certainly awakened my taste buds and I was flooded with memories of years of good spicy boiled shrimp! Prices are...
