I am visiting from Tennessee and “The Burger Grind” was highly suggested by my lady for a lunch date today so we decided to patronize the establishment. She’s eaten here numerous times before and she said I’d enjoy the food and I was looking forward to tasting it. After we ordered we sat for a while and talked and after a while she mentioned to me that she’d never had to wait this long for an order. When she went up to the counter to check on the order she was told it would be out momentarily. When the order finally came the burgers were not what we ordered. After taking a few bites my lady realized that the bread on my burger belonged on her order and several ingredients that was supposed to be on my order was on hers. When she brought this to the attention of the staff member that brought our order to us, the staff member then went to the back to deliver the complaint to the manager. The message was delivered to us from the manager “since I ate half the burger she can’t fix the order.” Keeping in mind that it was my first time there so I wouldn’t know what the burger should taste like. My lady did not receive what she ordered, recognized it and brought it to managements attention. Instead of fixing the order and keeping the customer happy, the manager actually was extremely rude and insensitive to the needs of her customer. I am highly disappointed and dissatisfied with “The Burger Grind” and I would not recommend patronizing this establishment. This matter could’ve been resolved by simply admitting the order was not made properly and accommodating the customer. Instead the manager and owner made the choice to be rude and dismissive to my concern.

Well, food is pretty good and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was rustic and showcased Louisiana regional items. However see below for why we won't be returning. Well once we arrived, we were told to wait to be served. I get it, slow Sunday and had time to discuss things with employees. However, six minutes until we were properly informed about how to order. This was my first time here. While we were waiting and trying to enjoy our food, the manager was belittling a young worker about mixing up the unsweetened and sweet tea spouts rudely in front of us and threatened the girl with "I'm going to sick Benny on you. You know old people can't tell the difference between the teas." I'm paraphrasing here, but it was so loud, we could do nothing but overhear. I witnessed the young black girl look like she was on the brink of crying. This wasn't the only instance of the manager yelling and being demanding, which soured our experience in an already dimly environment. We, unfortunately, will support another business that doesn't mistreat their employees like trash in front of customers. The burger grind has great menu options but the hostility towards mistakes employees make really grinded our gears.

Nope, sorry. I really wanted to like this place, but no. Don't waste your time. We waited 30 minutes only to be given cold fries, a well-done unseasoned burger, cold onion rings, and over cooked "tots." We also ordered a BLT with curly fries and were given a BLT that the tomato was not ripe and unsalted-severely overcooked regular fries. A silver lining, however, the chicken fingers were great, and so was the Bacon! But overall, it's not awesome, unfortunately. To reply to the owners post- yes, we attempted to talk to the manager, first by asking the guy that brought our food to the table and he said he would be right back and never came back (gave a good 5 min) then we walked up to the counter, no one was there and we then waited outside the kitchen door only to have it shut in our face!

I had to calm down for this one…. Never have I ever felt so disrespected in my life. I will NEVER order from here and I will tell everyone I know to NOT go here!

I truly enjoy their boudin balls, they are really good. I also ordered fried mushrooms for my significant other because he likes fried mushrooms. I ordered through Door Dash for pickup. My order was scheduled to be ready at 7:02pm I arrived at 7:04pm. I parked and went in, saw they had a long line so I looked and saw the drive thru was clear, so I got in my car and went around to the drive thru.

I pulled up and realized the speaker didn’t work so I went to the window. I looked inside and saw a small sized woman, wearing a razor back tank top, messy red hair-clipped up with a banana clip, tattooed. She saw me sitting there but never acknowledged me or anything. At one point she looked at me and turned her nose up as if I disgusted her. And she still didn’t come to the window. She came and got the tablet, played around with it, walked off with it and came back. Plugged it back in and walked off again. I then saw a guy kinda look around the wall and point, letting them know I was waiting. She came and snatched the window open as if I was disturbing her. Her response was “what?!”. Now at this point I’m upset because I’ve paid my money and waited for you to come to the window and this is how you respond??. I then said yes I placed an order for Courtney, her reply: “and?!”. Now I’m big pissed because she gotta be joking. So my response, and I want to pick it up. She smacks her lips, turns her head and slams the window. Now I’m sitting here brewing because how dare you act like this with me. Keep in mind, my last visit, same woman acted the same way. So I assumed it was because of the color of my skin but after making a FB post about this and reading the reviews here, I’m noticing it had nothing to do with my skin-she (they) rude af!!!!!

Hold on, there is more. After she slams the window, not only does she go on her merry way to do other stuff, she walks by my food (I know it’s mine because it’s the only order sitting on the rack in a bag), starts doing something else, walks by my food again, looks at the bag and walks off again. Now I’m pissed because you playing with my money. She finally pics up the bag, takes her time bringing it to me, so by this point I’m over HER. So when she finally decided to open the window, I snatched the bag from her hand and we had a very nice exchange in words.

Yes, I could have handled the situation better but this was just the worse service ever. But the sad part is, it gets worse.

I came home and posted my review on Door Dash and FB and I called and asked to speak to someone that was the manager and not her. She knew exactly who I was and when I told her about her actions she says “and?!” Again, as if it was nothing at all to say. Then she proceeds to talk in a very nasty, disrespectful manner and I said how dare you and before I could say anything else, she hung up in my face. Feeling very disrespected at this point because this was NOT the first this lady has acted this way towards me.

After a few phone calls later I was able to find out her name is Savannah or Savanna and she is one of the leads and the manager name is Melissa. Melissa wasn’t there but I was able to get all names I needed.

I will NEVER spend my money there and I am advising you to do the same. The food is good, hit and miss, but the service…….. I’ll rather eat McDonald’s off the floor before I let Savannah make me feel less than again. I am not here to hurt anyone because we all have battles and bills. But treat people how you want to be treated when you visit anywhere in this already...

We had an order called in for pickup and when we got there we paid for the order and then decided later to add a cup of gravy. The same card we just had used wasn't going through so the cashier went to get her manager.

When the manager came out she had the same issue so she was doing something on the tablet for a minute and then she hands me a receipt to sign. I explained to her that I already signed a receipt for the original order that I had already paid for so this one should only be for $0.90 + tax. She didn't care to explain and immediately got an attitude. She said "No that's not how it works here" in a rude tone. She then walks off and is mumbling under her breath. To which when she heard us say she shouldn't have an attitude, we just don't understand why we're signing two receipts that are showing us being charged twice. She came back and said in an even more rude voice "Well that's not how it works here all I did was update your order, it won't charge you twice the charge will go away tonight". So we asked for the first receipt that I signed that didn't include the gravy.

When all she had to do was explain in the beginning without the horrible attitude that since the card wasn't going through all she was going to do was edit the order and the charge would update on my card whenever it processes, similar to how tips are added.

TLDR: "Yes, you're not getting charged twice, this receipt is just showing that we updated the charge to include the gravy. It's the same idea of how a tip is added onto a check. Once it processes the updated charge will show" is how she could've responded, there is no reason to be rude or have an attitude.

It wouldn't have been an issue if this is what she would have done, but the attitude was the cherry on top. The last time we visited this restaurant we heard the manager using vulgar language in the kitchen when one of our orders came out wrong. I'm assuming this is the same lady. I know workers are hard to come buy, but I mean they must have been really scraping the barrel for this manager.

It's very disappointing when trying to support a local business and this is how the service is. The food is nothing spectacular, but it's much faster than going to a crowded chain restaurant. Unfortunately the way the customer service is it ruins the environment at the restaurant so in hindsight you're better off waiting in line at Texas Roadhouse or even other local restaurants that take pride in their customer service and reputation. (Magic Grill, Coney Island, Fish House) At MG or FH there will be a wait likely, but that's because the food is better and the service is...

Burger Grind of West Monroe is a dangerous place to eat. As a person who does not believe in giving poor reviews to local owned businesses unless absolutely necessary, I will be very specific. I have patronized this business since its inception... and personally witnessed the decline in quality of the food. With that being said my review is two fold. They have always been slow and I can deal with that to a limit. The decline in quality/taste has dropped dramatically but not the main reason for such a LOW score. Burger Grind on N. 7th St. in West Monroe Louisiana is showing a blatant disregard to the health and safety of our community. Not one employee was wearing a mask during a pandemic where over 330,000 people have died in our country with almost 19 million cases so far. Your business has made a CLEAR stance to the community that you will not take the simple measure to wear a mask to protect the safety of your own customers and therefore the entire community. I was warned by a local friend but had forgotten until I walked in and realized I was the ONLY person with a mask on. None of the customers coming and going were wearing masks, the cashier, waiters nor kitchen staff had on a mask. NO social distancing what so ever. almost every table was being used. from where I was standing one can see through the kitchen door windows where no one had on a mask in the kitchen. As a person who has had covid-19, lost a family member and know many who have experienced loss to this pandemic, I understand the serious nature of what the WORLD is dealing with. Science has proven over and over again that the simple measure of wearing a mask will greatly REDUCE the spread of this virus. Restaurants above all other businesses should take this SIMPLE measure to protect your patrons. I will no longer recommend this business to anyone. Additionally, I will encourage others who have had the same experience to give you the poor rating you deserve. Remember, Its not about YOU, but about the people who choose to patronize your business,...
