I was asked to give a review: This is not a soul food restaurant. The seasoning is like a different culture but it was still seasoned and cooked well. All food is seasoned well and cooked perfectly EXCEPT the crab legs 1 Crab Leg with corn and potatoes I paid $27 including tax. The 1 crab leg cluster Was really the worse thing. It was old and stif and not fresh. They re heated it and put too much of this powder like seasoning on one single little crab leg like to hide the fact it was small and not fresh. I rinsed the crab leg off and couldnât eat the potato and corn because it was way too much of that brown powder seasoning. I was mad because that was almost $30 down the drain. The other issue was the Lamb chops were small and they only give you three but load up the rice as if that would make up for the tiny lamb chops. They could have given me 4 at least. I paid over & 43 with this plate. 3 lamb chops: 7/10 not worth the money
5 Garlic Parmesan wings 7/10
Mac n Cheese 7/10 Yams soufflĂŠ 10/10
Yellow rice 8/10 Grilled shrimp cooked 8/10 Grilled salmon 8/10 My total $101. 10 Customer Service: Also I didnât like how I had to show proof of card when I came to pick up an online order. The dasher in front of me didnât have to. My card didnât match the receipt because I paid with Apple Pay and then I had to wait until and person came from the back to verify. She made me pull up the receipt online and of course it still didnât match. She goes to inform me itâs because I used Apple Pay and I had already told the First Lady that was the reason my card didnât match. I already knew that. Itâs not customary for any restaurant to make you show you physical card when you paid online. That bothered me because I purchased a drink for my little boy in the store before I was asked to show my card. Instead of giving me the drink he needed I was made to show my card to two people and spent another 5 mins proving that I bought the food. I had to asked for my drink I just purchased because they were more concerned about the food I already paid for online. Like I said the dasher didnât...
Read moreI never leave reviews I have to really not like something or really love something to do this. In this case I was very, very, very disappointed in this meal. I was so excited to have found a new food spot I looked at their food and it looked great and when I looked at their reviews they were also good. However I did see a couple bad ones but I didnât let it change my mind. I still took a chance and tried them out. Unfortunately I was not happy with the food. The sauce on top of the salmon had no taste not sure what was used to make it but I had to scrap it off the salmon to eat it. Salmon looked seasoned but still had no flavor I think maybe they only used paprika. The rice had no taste at all. The broccoli and sweet potato casserole were both good but I still couldnât finishing eating them either from being so upset about the salmon and rice. Meal was almost $30 the portion size was decent but the taste is not worth the money. I went to sleep hungry last night because I was too upset to go get something else and I wasnât about to drive back there as they are a 30min drive from me. I even wrote the restaurant on their social media last night but no response and I called them this afternoon before I left this review but no answer. However keep in mind this is only MY experience with the food. It doesn't mean it will be yours I recommend you try the food yourself before you knock it. They might taste good to you but as for me they didnât. Iâm Haitian and I know what well cooked, well seasoned, and tasty food taste like and this was not that at all to me especially for it to be soul food. On a better note though the customer service was good Amy took my order she was nice and the atmosphere was cute and clean so that was a plus. Again what wasnât good to me may taste good to you so this isnât one of those âdonât go hereâ reviews more so an educational review for the restaurant to maybe switch up the seasoning or add more seasoning for taste on the salmon and rice. I hate that I literally had to...
Read moreThis review is super late and a month over due. We visited this gem on August 5th. My boyfriend and I were hungry and wanted to try something new. So, he Googled restaurants that served fish entrees and found the Bang Bang Seafood and Grill. Considering that the restaurant was new and had very few or no reviews, I was a bit apprehensive. However, we decided to give it a try. We were delighted that we took a chance on this spot. Upon entering the restaurant we were greater by the owner who was an absolute pleasure. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered two meals: a salmon dinner and a catfish dinner. Both meals were served with saffron rice, sweet potato casserole, and broccoli, and were smothered in their signature Bang Bang sauce. The portions were huge, packed with tons of flavor, and prepared fresh to order. We weren't able to finish the meal, even though we wanted to. We took the leftovers to go and ate the rest the next day. The food was just as good as the day before. We are looking forward to ordering again really soon.
On August 9, we returned to the restaurant and this time we had a meal. Once again, we were greeted by the owner who was very happy to see us. We ordered chicken wings, Chicken Tikka, saffron rice, baked broccoli, and sweet potato casserole smothered in bang-bang sauce. The restaurant itself is small and not really set up for dining in, with only two tables available. Our order was taken by the manager, Shavar. While we dined, Shavar played some really good music and was super friendly and professional. We can't...
