McDonald's — Restaurant in West Point

I’m going to give this establishment a 3, keeping in mind that my experience here a year ago was a pleasant experience with good food and good service. I live out of state, but visit family that lives in the area. My experience on this current visit leaves a lot to be desired. Having ordered from here a few times during my visit, on one occasion we were immediately refunded after stopping to pick up a to-go order because they had no ice cream. The latest visit inspired this review as the service was terrible. Our drink orders were wrong as they were out of the type of drinks we ordered and instead of letting us know and asking what we would like to substitute our drinks with, they chose for us and just gave us the drinks without saying anything. When we questioned them on it, we were rudely told they were out of what we ordered and looked at us like we should just accept what we were given. We didn’t. We told them we wanted to substitute with something else and gave the drinks back, because our kids can’t drink the kind we were given. When we asked for a drink holder, we were again told that they were out of the item in a rude tone. Then they had no idea what food we ordered and were confused and unorganized in the back. Eventually they figured it out with a lot of huffing and puffing and slamming of the drive thru window. On the upside, the food was good and was cooked and packed properly. Perhaps the person at the window was having a bad day because of how unorganized it was in the back, but need to try not to take it out on the customers. And try to keep your items in stock. I’ve never personally had service like this at McDonalds near where I live, so it stinks for the people who live in this area. It wouldn't be too bad if the attitude of a couple people changed or fired and replaced.. Customer service sucks because of how they treat people. I'm a mystery shopper when working.. For example I was getting over a respiratory infection which put me out of working for couple weeks. I decided instead of cooking I took my daughter and boyfriend out for dinner first time being out after feeling little bit better now I know people get sick I'm not saying anything on that now on this day I used the screen ordered my meal for my family I heard a lady with red hair coughing and I can see through the slats that she didn't cover her mouth well she walked over asked did I need cups for my order I said yes as she was handing them to me I grab them but I asked did you wash your hands her way of reply is no walked away to another employee mouthing off. Well I still stood there while the "group" decides to talk and the lady proceeds to be nasty coughing not covering her mouth. Now I used to manage a resturant and I'm very big on customer service they pay your paycheck and presenting them with respect whether right or wrong if it was me she would've walked fired I don't put up with it plus rudeness attitude mouthy from an employee from a company shows the images they service. Normally I would have had paperwork on me but like i said I was out with family the one night after getting over being sick... My question is this, is this the service y'all like showing? Foods good needs a little attention in lobby but couple of your employees needs new training on customer service or FIRED... Services from employees symbolize the company integrity which in turns great customer service is great in more money spent and keeps them coming back for more. YOU DECIDE....... I had a great experience here. This was my first time in America, love from Somalia. I came here at a young age and I have had a great time since. I have recently been granted a will from my grandmother which holds over two figures and I went and spent most of it on the new Travis Scott Burger and at first I asked for extra pickles (whole pickles on my sandwich) and I got 2 PICKLES!!! So I went to the manager and he was really nice and offered me a new Travis Scott burger. After I grabbed my new sandwich I was walking to my table and I slipped and fell and the manager dashed over the counter to save me and he caught me mid fall. After I was saved from my fall, I was taken to my table like a King, which I am the King of Somalia. I love my family and friends over in Somalia. I miss my brothers who played football with me and spent all their time with me. Another time I was in my limo passing through the town and I was extremely hungry at the time. I saw the Hardee's across the street but they spit on my new limo, so I decided to spend my new will from my deceased grandmother on some delicious fast food. As I enter the fine dining restaurant with my security team I was greeted by the staff and the manager (which they were all extremely nice) and I was sat immediately. I was craving some chicken nuggets lately, so that is what I ordered at the time. I got my food mighty fast and it tasted great and the manager hand delivered it to me. As I finished my delicious meal, the staff showed me the door along with my security team. I couldn't ask for a greater staff team or a greater restaurant in West Point, Virginia.
