Features Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in West Salem

The majority of the bowling lanes in La Crosse county are closed due to the pandemic and have limited hours. I decided to go to Features in West Salem because they were the only bowling place to have open bowling also I haven’t gone bowling there. When I got there to ask for a lane there was hardly anyone at the counter. It took a while to wait to get someone. I started bowling and hit a strike, but the computer didn’t count it. I went to desk and waited for nearly 5 minutes. The person came and counted it as a strike, they also said they will put me on the next lane. I bowled again and the computer did not count my score again. I went to the counter to tell them, no one was there and they weren’t at the bar. I don’t think it’s a good idea for having a bar unattended. By the time the person came back I told them about the scoring error. They put me in the next lane. I bowled again and the computer did not count my score again. The bowling party that is next to me, their scoring system is working fine. I went to the counter and waited again to the point I felt ignored. At Play mor lanes or Coulee Golf Bowl there is always a person at the counter when you buzz them or walk up to the counter and they pay attention to you. Features in West Salem is not one of these places that pay attention to the customer when there is a problem with their scoring system. I’m not...

This location has changed so much in 20 years [ik, imagine that] for the better!

Our waitress, Delaney, was terrific! Smiling eyes - grin ••• COVID mask••• Attentiveness, Pleasant attitude, Gracious under pressure [kitchen errors], Customer service was commendably natural! We were well taken care of.

The FOOD! Ohhh man, the food was so crazy good - more than ample selection and 'user friendly' options, satisfactorily filling, & definitely prompting the "need" for dessert: CHEEEESECAKE & ice cream! 🙆‍♀️🤭👅 yyyum!

The atmosphere was relaxing, not chaotic or rushed, and offered optional outdoor seating. The restaurant was clean, & when I went to the ladies room, uhhhh...

There was another employee entering right after me, & SHE was quite helpful in assuring me that the faucet-looking objects, seemingly for decor only, indeed produced water.

But..... onto a FLAT SURFACE without one "bowl" into which this water flowed? Yep! She promised it was a sink 🤭 so I proceeded & noticed [BARELY] the lined 'slots' in back. 😲 Yes, twas a 1st for me.

We will definitely return...

it was my first time but my boyfriend went there once a while back. I got chicken wings they were nothing special my boyfriend got the Philly beer sandwich, it did not look good at all but he ate it, the cheese looked like it was old and like it was under a heating lamp for a while there was barely any steak. You can tell they were short staff. the bartender got our drinks then didnt see anyone for 10 mins or so, we asked for a menu and then waited and waited we had to ask to order. No personality from the staff, you can tell the bartender was running around from the bar to the bowling alley I think there was one server I totally get it but wont be back. Nothing to go back for. everyone is short staff, I get it but talk to the customers. Tell thm whats going on, how long the wait is for apologizing to the customers saying something to the customers goes a long way. we had a beer ate and we left don’t think we’ll be back.
