Cheap, delicious, authentic Mexican food. I've been going here for months, and until today I had never seen another white person in there hahaha. The menu is in Spanish, and everybody there (customers and employees) talks to each other in Spanish. That being said, I know absolutely zero Spanish and have no issues communicating. It's the definition of a hole in the wall, which adds to the experience. Make sure to pick up a Jarritos soda or Mexican Pepsi with your meal. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu; I've had it all and it has been fantastic.
I'd definitely give it 5 stars, even 6 if possible, due to the deliciousness of the food, atmosphere of the restaurant, and how affordable it is. You can get a full, delicious meal for under $7! Best bang for your buck possible...
Read moreThe location is very picturesque (it still bears the signs of its past as a simple garage), let's say that it is very close to the concept of a postmodern tavern; 4 stars for the food which, however, has potential that should be expressed better (both the tamales and the rice were tasty but very, too dry: a minute less cooking can often make the difference). Possibility of take away and small shop selling bulk Mexican food. Surprise: the bathroom is one of the cleanest I've ever found. Family-run business with friendly, smiling staff. A kitsch place where you can taste what is usually served in a home. Will I go back? Definitely because, in any case, the quality/price is more than honest and I hope to see them improve. Recommended for those who want to try a "dine like at...
Read moreThis was my first time here. The corn tortillas were super fresh and very flavorful. I had carnitas and carne asada tacos. They were both good and the toppings and salsas were fresh. I ordered a tamale and the only one they hadn’t sold out of was the chicken tamale. It was good and had a good mix of masa and chicken. It had robust flavors that would make me want to order more to share with family and friends. I went with my wife so we ordered a bunch of stuff to get a good variety of the main foods. We ordered the carne asada burrito was good and had the perfect combination of rice, beans, pico and meat. It is not a ginormous burrito that is just stuffed with rice and beans but an overall good burrito. I would go back because of the...
