I worked at this location for a while, around a year specifically, and I've got several complaints about this place. It's highly unsanitary, sewage frequently seeps up into the pipes located in the kitchen and being the front counter where your food is made, assembled, and put into a bag, same with the drinks. There's mold in the dry stock hanging around the boxes where your food will be put in, mold can easily travel to these boxes. The workers aren't taught what they need to know properly, so when the big boss Kevin or his son comes in, you get yelled at by them and they wonder why you don't know how to properly assemble something, it's because you've never been taught the right way to assemble it. You're supposed to get a raise after six months, I and many others never got a raise after working for well over that threshold with excuses such as "maybe you should start working more" or "you don't deserve it" or they'll just laugh it off in front of your face. When I started working there, the workers were overworked, working sometimes 9 hours a day, every single day starting at 3 am for some workers. By the time I quit, everybody was getting underworked, I clocked in maybe 2 hours a day if I was lucky, they hire too many people at once and then hope to weed out the people who've been working there for months and years. Not to mention that every worker isn't treated equally and if one of the managers or even the boss have something bad to say about you, they're gonna talk very negatively behind your back to the other managers, most of the time nasty stuff that has no right being talked about in the work place and the boss encourages it by bringing those topics up a lot to his co-workers and managers. Not all managers are bad, there's about three good ones I worked with total, but the other ones aren't good workers and bring down morale. Kevin, the owner, has a son and he's technically an owner of this franchise. Kevin's son is very immature, doesn't help the workers out often, and when he does it usually leads into everyone getting screamed at and getting called stupid or retarded or he targets one specific worker that's trying to get things rolling again. Kevin's son is an awful worker and is sure to drive the place into the ground whenever he own the place fully. I'll end it all at that just to give an idea to everyone on how it's like behind the scenes at McDonald's Lavalette, the workers are constantly suffering due to poor management and awful bosses, the place is highly dirty and it's not worth eating there unless you wanna run the risk of eating nuggets out of a moldy box, and next time you want to get mad at the workers, just think about how they're treated by their managers and bosses before you yell at them.
PS: Don't order ice cream in the summer, there's maggots they don't clean out of the ice cream machine lurking in there.
Edit: Seems as if my photo has been taken down of the mold above the dry stock area, it was right above the nugget boxes. The current staff are rude as could be, itâs every time I come through that I get shamed for asking for my receipt? I wouldnât ask if orders werenât frequently wrong. I had one manager ask, âYou just had the two sandwiches?â before giving me a nasty look towards me as if he was looking down on me. Came through yesterday, the gravy is cold every single time I order some, itâs microwaved, canât you just throw it back in like we used to? But the worker taking orders gave me a blank stare as she held my receipt, didnât say âyouâre welcomeâ or anything to me in general before or after I asked for it. Iâm not rude, I say please and thank you bc it can be a commodity in the world of fast food, Iâve been there. But at what point do you lack basic human respect when someone is thanking you for your service? This place is even more poorly ran than it was a few years back and it shows. At least the old owner, Kevin, isnât letting his 40yo son KT run around the store flirting with teenage...
Read moreI'm basing today's rating on my most recent experience at this particular Mcds. As a general rule, I avoid McDs. Any McDs. Occasionally I will get a breakfast sandwich, which is edible, but Tudors is far and away a better choice for breakfast. However, the other day I was in a hurry on my lunch hour and decided to run through and grab a fish sandwich. No one was in either drive through lane, so I pulled right up to the speaker and waited....for at least two minutes if not longer. This is not an exaggeration. Then, another car pulled up at the other lane and they began to immediately take their order. I said "Thanks!" into the speaker and went on my merry way. It is quite often that the service here is poor, and this was another classic example. And no, when I drove back by after grabbing something at Foodfair, cars were getting orders taken at both lanes. There was no problem with...
Read moreI don't usually do this type of thing but every single time I eat at this restaurant I can't get good food or service. First they can't use my code for the mobile app, it works everywhere else. Then my order consisted of a filet of fish without tartar add extra cheese, well I paid $1 extra for cheese and only got half a piece and that got wiped off with the tartar sauce they drowned it in when they weren't supposed to and the food was ice cold. I am tired of paying outrageous prices for food I can't even eat because it's made wrong and so cold and hard I could throw it through a wall. This restaurant does not even try to please the customer, I would not recommend this place for a soup kitchen. I will go out of my way from now on to go to any other McDonald's but I will not be back...
