Pulp Juice and Smoothie Bar — Restaurant in West Virginia

I genuinely like the smoothies, wraps, and bowls here. I wfh and live minutes away, but unless the owners dad is working don’t expect any sort of customer service or hospitality from the staff at all. It’s uncanny how identical the experience is in a pretty poor way. I walk in and am not greeted, no one even turns to look at the door. There is one younger employee making an order. There are 2-4 standing in the doorway to the back of the store or in the back of the store (still viewable thru glass window), I walk to the counter and stand there. No one comes. Employees chatting amongst themselves and or on their phone. I stand there and wait. Usually the employee making the order comes to take my order and then goes back to make it. Today 3 employees stood around the doorway running their fingers under the faucet sink and discussing it (??) no one comes to the counter, no one acknowledges me at all. I stand there for several minutes. I leave. No one says a word. The food is good but easily replicable with a vitamix, produce, and a quick trip to drug emporium. Thanks for motivating me to head to Kroger instead...

So be careful going here. I ordered a lemonade. I was told it consisted of fresh squeezed lemons and apples. I was watching when she prepared my drink in that very fast juicer. I saw her throw two apples in the juicer, but no lemons. I thought maybe I just missed the lemons because it did juice very quickly.

After tasting it, I was disappointed. There was no lemon juice, just apple. And it had a huge taste of ginger.

It appears that maybe they were out of lemons and just didn't tell me. But worse than anything, because of the strong taste of ginger, it's quite apparent that they dont keep the juicers clean.

Oh, the drink, it was apple juice with a strong taste of ginger, I took about three sips and just discarded the rest.

The Kale Ka-Pow smoothie with added whey is excellent! It's my first time here and won't be my last. The man behind the magic told me everything I needed to know about the different smoothies. I look forward to trying more of their offerings! Prices.. for fresh greens and fruit, they are not bad. I would certainly give more stars if they were available. Simply, yet spectacularly, delicious 😋 Update: I couldn't resist going back as soon as possible! This time I tried the guava burner smoothie. It is also very good! The Kale is a little better but this is still the second best smoothie...
