That was the most embarrassing experience ever!! I can not believe that just happened!! First of all, I have not had my nails done since February, and it was spur of the moment and I was excited! Before the service began, I told Ken that I needed a manicure before I had a acrylic set put on. He said that they usually do those at the end.. I said well, I know everyone has their own way of doing things but I did not specifically ask for a manicure before a full set was put on one time and I walked out with my nails looking like I needed a fill in.. so I always make sure that I ask for that up front to avoid any confusion. Then I followed up with, “I want the acrylic and the nail polish to fully cover my nail. I want them both to touch all edges of the surrounding skin.. (I’m also laughing explaining this) I would like my entire nail covered. He then went on to say that he understood what I was saying. I didnt really look at my nails until he started Painting and I noticed that there was a pretty good gap and I just asked him to fill it with polish.. he said it wouldn’t look good. I agreed, but unfortunately it would be better than it looking like I needed a fill in 🥴.. after a small exchange of explanation I decided that there was no fixing it. I paid and left. I then sent a picture of my nails to my daughter. She said OH MY GOSH!! Just go get a refund! I swallowed my pride, walked back in and tried to explain why I was not happy. As I was talking he said just get to the point, stop wasting his time! 😳. I said I want a refund. He said no, I’ll try to fix it. I said no thank you, I want a refund. He tells me that it’s my cuticle and it’s my skin that is showing. I said that is my nail!! He said if you want a refund I will have to cut your nails off and then refund your money. I said cut them off!! As I am waiting he then comes back at me saying he is going to charge me $20 for the supplies he used. I said no you are not!! I’m not paying $20 for this service or supplies, not even a penny especially after the way you have treated me! A guy named Alex took my nails off. I walked to the counter to receive my money. Ken refunded the $55 charge and said that the $12 tip had not been added. He hands me a slip and then charges my card $20. He then changes it to charging me $20 for cutting my cuticles. I said I am not paying you a penny. I then asked him to give me my card. He then threatens me that he is going to call the police unless I sign the copy for the $20 charge. At this point, I have 20mins until it’s time to pick up my daughter. He is refusing to give me my card. I scribble on the paper and he throw slides me my card telling me that in his 23 or 27 years of being a nail tech that he has never had a customer like me and telling me how horrible that I am! I still can’t believe this happened ... this was my first time there. I’m...
Read moreEDIT after reading your response BTW… WHAT AM I TRYING TO DO? I am not even a nail tech. Thank Goodness! WHY WOULD I HAVE HIM FIX THEM, he didn’t know how to do them to start with?! SO HE COULD mess them up more? No thanks! He charged me too much then because I PAID 60 DOLLARS for the nails he did! This is MY WORK and trust me it’s better than what it looked!!!!THIS IS WHAT I DID TO MY NAILS JUST TO MAKE THEM LOOK BETTER!!! I read your comment and obviously you didn’t read or understand what I wrote. I don’t have a picture of the crap you did, but trust me it was horrible. I showed everyone at work and they said they’d ask for a refund! Three came off!!! I’m going to lava nails now to fix them!! Worst place I’ve ever been! Just to be clear, I’m not very picky and wouldn’t take time to write a review if it wasn’t that bad. The guy didn’t clean my nails up any. And I mean any! Apparently he didn’t understand what almond shaped was either, because he make them look like candy corns! Legit, ugly as I dunno what! I told him I was mainly upset about my cuticles, and the neatness of them, do you know what he said? Manicures aren’t included in acrylic sets… if that were the case why not ask me if wanted one!? Maybe tell me I needed one or they’d look bad. I’ve never heard of that before, but alright. I didn’t have the energy to argue about it, but I’ll NEVER go back. Had to come home and try to salvage them, or fix them somehow. I didn’t get a before picture, because they were so ugly and I didn’t plan on writing a review. This is what they look like now and I’m far from an expert. Better than what...
Read moreThe lady was very nice and as gentle with my nails as could be. I’d been biting my nails and making them look terrible and that’s why I had acrylics applied, and there was no pain or bleeding at all, despite my nails already being at the point of bleeding. I initially asked for white tips, but I ended up with pink and whites (which are $17 more expensive, and so I couldn’t afford to leave a tip when I had planned to), which do look more natural and better like she said, but I didn’t realize what I was agreeing to, since I very very rarely ever get my nails done. So, if you’re going here, know what you want and make it clear so there’s no confusion or misunderstanding. Other reviews say that they can be rude, but they were kind. They do speak Vietnamese to one another, which some people may consider rude, but I think it’s comforting to hear or listen to. Other reviews say there is a considerable wait time, but you can make appointments. I just walked in when I went, I wait 30-45 minutes, and it took her about an hour to actually do the nails, I think. If you don’t want to wait, I suggest making an appointment. It’s been a week and two days since I had them done and there’s not been a problem with them at all (besides them being longer than I’m used to, but I generally keep my nails very short). All are well applied and still look nice with very minimal bubbling around the edges - but I generally have acrylics off in four days, so this lady’s work and its quality is top notch. I...
