I usually dont do reviews, but today is Christmas eve and I decided to pick up lunch for my family. Spent $40 on food. Ordered 2 luxe boxes, 5pc chicken nugged delux meal, 10 piece Nugget, and another 5 layer. Literally the only thing for me was the 5 piece and I split the sides among the rest of the family. Before my husband and I drove off we asked if everything was in the bag because they felt light the, the lady said yes. We get home, we're missing a 5 layer, the nuggets are bottom of the bag crumbs, a cheese sauce, a dorito taco, a double layer taco. I went back to the store and overheard the lady telling the cook several times its not free food its food she paid for and he made a hocking sound like he was gonna spit in it. She said "No we dont do that." Dude... If you did your job correctly the first time neither one of us would have had that experience. After handing me the food for my kids mind you, I let her know I heard him and every word said... I left completely disregarding the 2nd double layer taco because at that point I was genuinely afraid Id lose my temper and he who didn't want to work on Christmas eve would have spit in my kids food. $40... we go there often but this is the worst experience Ive had at ANY eatery in my life. Im pretty old. Im an understanding and empathetic person I value the food service and customer service industry as I too work in it. I would have never acted out the way that kid did. Im glad my husband wasnt with me as that would have been a completely different scenerio. Spitting in someone's food is illegal and considered assualt. I still have half a mind to call the police but Im just hoping he was sour from working on a holiday. It also wasnt busy.

Taco Bell – Interstate Oasis or Just a Pit Stop? What can one say about a Taco Bell that hasn’t already been said in a thousand road trip gasps and late-night cravings? This particular location, nestled just off the interstate like a seasoned traveler’s old friend, offers a surprisingly pleasant atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating? Check. Lovely landscaping that almost distracts you from the fact you’re about to eat fast food? Double check. The inside and outside lighting is decent, with no interrogation-room fluorescents or spooky shadows in the parking lot. It’s mostly clean, emphasis on “mostly,” which is above average for this type of establishment. As for the food and service… well, let’s just say they were present. Not terrible, not terrific. Just okay. Meh. If you’ve ever eaten at a Taco Bell, you already know what to expect, and this one delivers exactly that, with a smile, if you're lucky, and a shrug if you're not. Wheelchair accessibility is solid: a concave ramp, designated parking spots, a crosswalk, and wide double doors make entrance easy and considerate. All in all, if you’re cruising down the highway and need something vaguely resembling a taco, this Taco Bell won’t disappoint, but it probably won’t wow you either.

Not to be over dramatic but this Taco Bell is probably THE BEST in North America. From staff, food preparation (never a crumbly mess), to speed they absolutely crush it every time I come through this area on 64. I’ve had to come back around the area for work, to get to funerals, or to see family in Virginia—no matter the time or the occasion or my mood these folks are crushing it. Couple that with some tasteful pump-fed water features it just can’t be beat. It has a courtyard too, like what’s up with that? I’ve lived in Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, and Kentucky in that order and Taco Bell is one of the only fast food chains I can stomach anymore. But it’s still fast food and we all sort of know what we’re getting into, and that’s why I can’t stress enough how above and beyond this location is. Corporate should give these people a raise. It blows my mind, I have no idea what’s going on. THEY ARE SO NICE. Thank you for always making my 8 hour car rides easier!

Tbh, we live just around the corner from this location. Go there regularly (or we did). Thursday eve we got an item wrong in our order that our family member can’t eat. So, I jump right out to go back, this time I verify the correct items to have on it. Well, get back and it only has 1 item on it lol. No biggie, go back again, but being the 3rd trip, all the food was cold and we just didn’t want it. So, on that last run I advised by now, we will just get our refund for it all (I also had the food beside me to return, they said they couldn’t take it). But, only refunded 1 of 3 items. When I advised what happened, the young man I could tell was frustrated, even being helped by the manager. I said “no worries, I can come by in the afternoon tomorrow and get the rest. Relax.” So, Friday comes and I got in the rain storm and walk in, only to be told the menus, registers, etc had all just crashed due to the weather, so, I said ok I’ll come back. Saturday (today) comes and due to cold, I go through the drive through. At 12 noon ( usually I assume the more professional crew is on lunch. I was wrong…I was met by not 1, but 3 employees at the window. They asked who the name of the person from Friday was that informed me the system was down…I didn’t know!? So, I made sure to ask these THREE employees who were arguing with me their names. I was first told they couldn’t refund the amount, it was too large. I said “well, of the $17, 6 has already been refunded. You can’t refund my remaining $11 dollars I’ve made now, 5 trips here to get?” Then was advised that because my “ticket” had been put through already, they couldn’t do it. All of these are untrue, which made me mad. However, they said the GM (who would be in on Monday lol) would have to do it. I said ok, yet when I pulled away, the younger female employee made a rude comment. So, when I got home ( 3 min later) I called and asked the female manager that employees name please. Then I also advised her I was going to call another local location (that I used to work for) but, she cut me off and spoke over me saying “another location can’t refund you!?” Well, Crissy I wasn’t calling to get my refund, I was calling them to verify that all the info you rudely gave me were lies. But, she hung up before I could say so…so, I called back, this time the male of the 3 answered combatively. Upon asking his name, he said “it’s Chea.” Then began to spell it out phonically, to be rude. At that point I was furious. The years of business we’ve given this store. The countless mess ups we’ve let go before…and not one person in all 3 days even said “I’m sorry.” As someone who has worked in the service industry most of my adult years I can’t stand the fact that customer service is basically nonexistent in this country. No one is ever polite anymore about situations like this, and in fact, with the three employees waiting at the window. It goes to prove that they’re more looking to be combative, which I found surprising, considering it was the lunch shift on a Saturday at this location, which is typically very nice, especially during the day. So, I hope Crissy, Brooke, and Chea felt big treating that way, and making sure the NEVER eat at this local place again. Hopefully the GM on Monday is not only more helpful, but can get those employees corrected. Also, we will be contacting corporate...

Do you know what John Denver really sang about in his song “Take Me Home, Country Roads?” Well, you’ve found it. If you’re ready for a one of a kind, surreal Taco Bell experience, look no further. This particular Taco Bell, located off the first or last I-64 exit into West Virginia. It is by far the nicest and most unique Taco Bell in existence. For you travelers, there is a rest area/welcome center several miles into WV, but honestly, this should just be the welcome center into the state.

I don’t know who owns this Taco Bell (TB), but whoever did envisioned something that is a cross between paradise and a typical TB. The staff are oddly kind when compared to other fast food places, but don’t let that fool you, your food will come out hot, fresh, and served to you like if you are in a traditional sit-down restaurant. I have even been offered by a staff member to get me a refill! You won’t find that at most other TB’s.

The interior is clean, super clean. Nothing is broken, and its the ideal spot for a soft taco or two.

Do you want to watch TV and browse the web while munching on a crunchwrap? This is the place for you. How about sit outside and enjoy the beautiful sky or watch the cars, trains, or planes go by? This has that option with a nice outdoor seating area with a fire pit- could be wrong but wouldn’t be surprised.

Are you in a rush and don’t want to get out of your car but afraid you’ll miss out on everything on the inside this utopia of a Taco Bell? Don’t worry, there’s a fountain in the drive thru. Its like a great ancient Roman fountain- that’s an exaggeration, but it is a beautiful 8 foot fountain with water falling over natural, uncut slate while surrounded by scenes that you’ll find in the mountains of West Virginia; a small sample of the heaven sung by John Denver. Just another reason this Taco Bell should be a state landmark.

When you’re finished with your soft taco and headed onwards in your adventure, don’t be surprised if you find yourself asking a passerby, “did you see the fountain?!”

Now all other Taco Bell’s are just of...

Forgot one of my cheesy double beef burritos. I said no lettuce on my soft tacos and all soft tacos had lettuce. Mind you my cheesy double beef burrito was busting out the seams ! I had to wait until I got back to Barboursville to eat it by then it was cold. Then I was gonna call and tell them that they shorted me A burrito, but I trusted Taco Bell and threw the dang thing away. Whatever I’m out three dollars I don’t care. But with me having knowledge of being a manager at a fast food restaurant, I didn’t need to know that one of your employees walked out. I didn’t need to know that you were backed up because another employee decided they wanted to go smoke a cigarette as you guys were getting busy. And I feel sorry for the lady that literally told me her whole life business about chemo. Honestly, I wasted $14 because nothing was made right I was missing a taco. Also, why is it acceptable for people to wear nails especially long nails! It’s absolutely disgusting working in fast food because of bacteria !!! 🦠 🤮 I honestly will never order from this Taco Bell again because this is not my only bad experience from that place. Let me add that I did try to drive back and just replace the taco that they missed because I didn’t have a receipt. The line was out to the road. People are confused. Why the lobby is closed maybe put a sign on the door instead of Haley running around cussing while I’m sitting at drive-through waiting on my food and can see everything going on. It’s literally common sense put a sign on the door if the lobby is closed instead of getting mad at the customer About going to the side door. Because how did the customer know that the lobby is closed if there’s no sign? It’s...
