McDonald's — Restaurant in West

Horrible experience! First off, they're super slow! With about 10 employees in the back working at a snail's pace, and no in store orders ahead of us, it took over 15 min to get our food. 😱 Then, fries for one of the meals were barely warm, while the other 2 orders got hot fries, and they tried to tell us they're revamping the cups and these new 12oz cups are a medium 🤔 even though it CLEARLY says this is a small fountain drink RIGHT ON THE CUP!! HELLLOO?!? I ordered a fountain drink, so this is a SMALL. I pointed out this out to the employee and they still tried to tell me it was a medium. Took over 10 min to get a replacement drink and fries. I actually left the counter since my food was at the table getting cold. After another few min, they FINALLY got the drink. How hard is it to replace cold fries and the wrong size drink?? No less than 4 employees asked me what I was waiting for and then proceeded to NOT get the drink after asking. Why?? Horrible service. The place looks brand new. Not a good way to get started! I never leave reviews, but after our experience, and watching people behind us also waiting 15- 20+ min for their food AND having issues, I had to leave a review....

I ordered and was advised the bill would be $8.41.

Pulled up to window to pay and gave cashier $20.41, reasonably expecting $12.00 in change. Was given $2.00. When cashier was asked where the other ten$$ was she said I only gave her a 10 dollar bill with thre 41 cents. She admitted she was in her first day, but had another (presumably more experienced???) crew team member assisting her. She then gave me $9.00 instead of the $10 I was owed. I was eventually asked to pull forward to the 2nd pick-up window to get the order I had made and the 10th dollar I was owed.

I don't know what is happening, but it is fairly apparent the generation coming out of schools nowadays does NOT know basic math skills or how to make change with any degree of accuracy!

I remember back in the day when I worked as a cashier in a very similar fast food establishment, accuracy was a highly sought skill.

McDonald's is McDonald's. Our son likes it and that is really the only reason we occasionally stop at one. I guess the one bright spot is that you know exactly what you are getting (food-wise) with a McDonald's.

That said, this particular location was struggling for some reason. They had lots of drinks already made up and sitting on a counter and then started mixing up several people's drinks. And drinks were not coming out with food. It just seemed like their system for drinks (that day anyway) was a mess for whatever reason.

But really, the only reason to be in a McDonald's is if you are on a long trip with your kiddos and need a known food product to satisfy those kiddo cravings so you can get back on...
