Update: if you haven't been in a while they've opened a sale barn. It's located across the parking lot from the main store. 50% off!! Also, I didn't know they had a dog park and garden area. This place is one stop shopping. I now know when I travel thru West to allow plenty of extra time for Slovacek's as there's zero chance I'm getting out of there in a quick stop! 😂

There's a reason this place is famous for their kolaches.....they are DELICIOUS. Many times I've driven thru West and haven't been hungry so I've never stopped in. Finally I stopped this last trip & so glad I did. The store is nice and has a HUGE variety of items including unique items you just don't see everywhere else. For the variety you'd have to shop multiple stores but Slovacek's has made it easy by offering everything in one location. A big plus is they are reasonably priced and not inflated like a lot of comparable places. I'm in love with the Christmas room! If I lived in West I'd go broke shopping here all the time. Plus I'd have to add a storage shed or rent one for everything. 😉

There's a meat market in addition to the kolaches/bakery. Also available sell fresh sandwiches and fresh breakfast items. I liked the artwork for sale and like most of the other items they are reasonably priced. Some of the wood signs made me laugh & I even purchased the coffee one for my daughter-in-law since it's totally her lol. All the employees I encountered were friendly.
