My friend and I have been going here for months. We stopped at Fresh Monkee today Wednesday 9/3 around twenty five minutes to close. The girl at the counter didn’t look up to acknowledge my friend or I, or say hello. She was counting her register, but the length of time she was not acknowledging us made me think we actually came in past close. I had to look on my phone to double check the hours, and sure enough we were actually here twenty five minutes to close, the person behind the counter was just not acknowledging our existence lol

It got to a point where her coworker had to step in after three to five minutes to do the grueling task of taking our order which she almost got wrong. The process took about twenty to thirty seconds, if that.

My friend and I waited a little longer than usual. The first person who checked us out was already getting her bag to leave, while leaving her coworker hanging — it got to a point where the coworker then again had to intervene to help her first coworker make our actual smoothies.

In the end….my friend’s smoothie had a conglomeration of thick powder and chunk ice (about half the size of ice cubes) that lined the bottom 1/8th of the cup, like a patina…..

The first person who was supposedly going to serve us made an angry beeline towards the open sign and turned it off five minutes to close after watching a young mother and her two boys come in

Safe to say we will not be going back and will much rather enjoy making smoothies at home...
