Misquamicut Sandwich Company — Restaurant in Westerly

This was our go to place, but things have changed. Went there a couple of weekends ago, and our breakfast sandwiches were given to another customer. Accidents happen and it wouldn't have been a big deal, but they never owned that it happened. We saw it happen, and we saw them realize it happened. Instead they lied and said they were busy with online orders.

Fast forward to today, and I ordered my sandwich online to pick up on my lunch break. I got there and they told me it was on the pick up table, it wasn't. She scrambled to get my order in, so I could get back to work on time, and gave me a cookie. It was handled just fine. But then I got to work to have my cuban, that is supposed to be with ham and roasted pork. It was made with a heaping amount of rosemary turkey or some kind of heavily seasoned turkey, and a little ham. The rosemary or spice blend was not very complementary of the sandwich. I'm questioning if they didn't have the ingredients to make my sandwich, but no one notified me, so when I got there to find no sandwich they just slapped...

This is a wonderful little sandwich shop that my husband and I decided to try while at the shore. We were looking for someplace that has gluten free options. Unfortunately due to other allergies I was unable to eat their gluten free breads.

Katie, one of the co-owners came to the rescue. We went over ways we could make a meal out of one of the sandwiches, substituting arugala for bread. She was wonderful! We turned one of the sandwiches into a salad that was delicious! She was very willing to switch things up according to my dietary needs. My hubby enjoyed his meal also!

One other thing we noticed, while sitting on the patio, this is a dog friendly place. One customer had her dog with her while eating. Katie came out to visit the pup with a treat of bacon. Mom and pup were very happy.
