I have visited Great Awakening before and my experience was exceptional, but I decided to visit it again before leaving a review. Luckily, my judgment stays the same.
This brewery occupies a big factory building. It consists of a huge indoor space and an outside beer garden for warmer months. There's plenty of space for everyone and it can be sectioned for events. And judging by their website, there are many events happening there. The place has a full kitchen with multiple food choices. I did not try the food this time, but the previous time I was here I loved the food.
The beers are the jewel of this place. The beer selection is huge, but the best part is that they have a lot of barrel aged beers on tap. I personally love this because they are expensive in production, and the majority of breweries avoid these styles. You can see not only the beer tanks on site, but also the barrels where the magic happens. At this point in review I usually recommend a couple of beers, but this is not the case here: literally everything I got was exceptional and unique. Their barrel aged beers pack a punch of flavor and are really unique and memorable. You can order a flight of four to try multiple beers.
This is an awesome place for any occasion : a hangout spot, an event venue, a heaven for a beer craft enthusiast. I recommend this place to anyone. In my personal score after visiting several dozens of breweries, this one holds a second place. I will...
Read moreOn April 15, 2022, we held a surprise party at The Great Awakening Brewery Company in Westfield. What a great choice we made by going there! ALL of the wait staff at this brewery went above and beyond to be certain we were well taken care of! From opening doors and carrying decorations in for us, to setting up an area for us to utilize as our own space to celebrate our evening! The Great Awakening Brewery Beers were very welcomed and tasteful, with the Brewery’s staff quick to serve you in their custom marked glassware! The food was absolutely delicious, and our guests were raving about their Rueben sandwiches, flat bread pizzas, pulled pork sliders to the charcuterie boards with ham, Salami, cheese, crackers, and olives! The staff was constantly asking us If there was anything we needed or if there was anything they could do for us…..we were well taken care of! We ordered a cake, which the Great Awakening later cut and plated for our guests, the whole evening was quite a great time! We give the Great Awakening Brewery Company 5 STARS for fantastic service, super delicious food, a great location in the brewery for us to celebrate, terrific beer, and the wonderful, wonderful, staff! To the super cook in the kitchen and all your help at the brewery that made our night TOTALLY AWSOME, we say thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU, for making our celebration so fantastic! We...
Read moreI’m going to start this off by saying my family, my boyfriend and I have been coming here for the past few years. Today is the last time I will ever come here. The girl who’s clearly new at the front desk is miserable. We ordered food and beer, and my boyfriend had forgotten his wallet with his ID. He was annoyed at himself for forgetting it and as a joke he said “is there anyone else here they know me” again.. we’ve been coming here for so long. Then knowing thats not acceptable we laughed and said we would leave and come back with his wallet. She gave him a disgusting dirty look and said “you know Shannon? then i guess it’s fine.” and after giving him a beer said “by the way next time you don’t need to be so.. moody” again dirty look. Absolutely ridiculous we were more than fine leaving and coming back with his ID we told her we could come right back. Customers who have been coming here for so long getting a horrid attitude from someone new who shouldn’t be working with people in the first place. Not to mention their beer is never cold and their food is sub par that’s besides the point. Was once a nice place to come and get a good beer and an appetizer now is not worth it especially with the C you next tuesday working at the front desk. If you want a better colder beer and way better food go to the Cambridge House...
